Chapter 18: Chapter 18: What?

Ferdinand pov

It's been a few weeks since the White Russy Officers came to help in the creation of the Royal Dacian Army, I can say that I feel sorry for the soldiers.

The Officers that were sent to every corner where the Royal Dacian Army was found quickly made the Training that I already considered Spartan even worse for the soldiers.

The situation was even worse for those who were considered fit to become Officers, at least we are already having Officers being trained.

Some Royal Guard Officers were able to return to train and command the Guards, which was a relief for the few who had to command 10,000 Royal Guards.

If all goes well, we can have soldiers Almost fully prepared for a War against the Rumeli, I say Almost because a soldier has to have the first kill at their hands to be true soldiers.

A soldier who cannot shoot the enemy who is invading the Homeland is not worthy of trust.

How can Dacia want to conquer Constantinul if we don't even have professional soldiers for that?

Anyway, while this is happening, some of the Economic Projects I suggested to my father are already starting.

The creation of Railway Lines has already started along with some smaller projects, such as the creation of more modern roads, in addition to other projects, helping to provide jobs for people.

I won't say that everyone is employed because it's impossible to do that in a few days, but it's decreasing every day, in addition to the Central Government creating a Social Project to help homeless and unemployed people.

This of course led to more support from the population, with the Royal Family's popularity growing even more, which was beneficial to me.

The people put into Forced Labor have also been quite helpful, we left them in the hands of some Royal Guards and Legionnaires to be taken care of, this kept the Reds in line.

Leaving that aside, I was now heading to the Royal Palace Gardens, my Mother and Grandmother wanted me to have tea with them.

"Ah, my grandson is finally here, come on, your mother and I were about to start having tea" Said my Grandmother as she held her cup of tea.

I nod and walk over to my chair and hold my cup of tea to drink.

While Ferdinand was having tea with his Mother and Grandmother, Johan, and Alexander, together with Nikolay were discussing something serious.

"Are you sure you will guarantee his safety?" Johan asked seriously as he looked at Alexander.

"Don't worry, my grandson will always be protected, but he needs to receive Military training, Johan, Ferdinand is a genius, there's no denying that, but even if he has High Magic and Intelligence, he will need to strengthen himself if there comes a time when he has to get one's hands dirty" Alexander replied while looking into Johan's eyes with extreme seriousness.

Alexander wanted to take advantage of his stay in Dacia to train his grandson, as he saw that Ferdinand was weak.

While he didn't deny Ferdinand's Magic Power, which was quite high for someone his age, he was still weak physically as well as mentally, that was something that would need to be changed.

The last thing he wants is for his grandson not to be able to defend himself in case the enemy invades the Royal Palace or breaks down Mentally from a simple loss on the Battleground.

"My father is right, Johan, besides that, we will also teach tactics and other Military Subjects so that he can have a good understanding of things" Said Nikolay as he took his Cabian Cigar and started to smoke.

Joham wondered if he should allow it or not, he knows that Alexander and Nikolay will be pretty tough in Training but at least they'll pray to ensure safety, hell there was a good chance Alexander will field a Cossack Horde to defend Ferdinand if necessary.

After giving the matter some thought, Johan sighs before looking at the two seriously.

"Dmitrievna will kill me after this...I agree, you can train Ferdinand" Johan said as he sat on a chair and caressed his forehead, trying to calm himself from the headache to come.

With Johan's support, Alexander and Nikolay soon left their office so that Johan could sign the documents and do his Government Affairs.

Returning to where Ferdinand was having tea with his mother and grandmother, he suddenly felt a shiver run down his spine and soon saw that he was being covered by a large shadow.

Looking back, he sees Alexander and Nikolay with confident smiles on their faces, Ferdinand soon breaks into a sweat for some reason.

"My dear grandson, get ready for your Training." Alexander said proudly before grabbing Ferdinand by the clothes and dragging him along. he.

"....What?" He asked Ferdinand to himself as he was dragged away by Alexander who was laughing.

"Father?!" She screamed Dmitrievna angrily as she tried to reach Ferdinand and take him back, but was stopped by Nikolay.

"This is for Ferdinand's sake, sister, if you want to blame someone, talk to your husband" Said Nikokay as he quickly left the place.

'Sorry, brother-in-law, but evil spoke louder' Thought Nikolay while an evil laugh resounded in his head.

Dmitrievna, who heard what Nikolay said, stood still for a few minutes, digesting what Nikolay said before something snapped in her mind and made her scream.

"JOHAAAAAAAAN"

Thus, Johan felt Hell for the next few days, suffering at the hand of his wife Russy, while Ferdinad sped away to a Military Camp.

While they both grieved differently, he had one thought that was on both their minds as they wept.

'WHY AM I RELATED TO THESE RUSSY?!'

Chapter 19: Chapter 19: The Rotenburg's Hell

Ferdinand pov

It's been 3 weeks since I was suddenly taken away by my Grandfather and Uncle, being placed in a Military Camp to be trained in the Imperial Russy and Cossack way.

The moment I arrived I started to suffer, I was told to do several exercises that quickly tired me, but even so I had to force myself to continue or the Cossacks would beat me.

After Physical Training, I was sent to Military Strategic Training to learn everything about how to be a good Military Leader in the future.

After that came Magic Training, where I have to fight like I was going to die at any moment, I'm not even kidding.

On the first day, I almost flew into the air and fell to the ground straight to my death as I couldn't control the Military Equipment properly on the first few tries.

I also had to face Russy White Mages who were sent to "train" me, for me it was more about using myself as a magic shooting target and punching bag.

Also, the food I ate was of the lowest military-grade, the same as that given to newly arrived recruits, soup was already a luxury for me that was only given when superiors felt sorry (which was very rare).

I try hard every day and every day that passes is even more difficult for me, but I can already see some benefits, even if they are very small, it still counts.

"HURRY UP YOU LITTLE SHIT, WANT TO CLEAN UP LATER LATER?! KEEP RUNNING" A Cossack yelled at me as he reloaded his rifle...I was running while the bastard was shooting close to my legs.

Thanks to the Department I learned to use the "Magic Shield" otherwise I would have lost my legs to the shots a long time ago.

As Ferdinand ran as if his life depended on it (which it did), his uncle was sitting in a chair as he watched Ferdinand run.

"Training is still soft...prepare some Cossacks for a 'surprise attack' on his Tent." Said Nikolay while being served a glass of wine by a maid.

"Understood, Your Highness" Said a Cossack as he bowed to Nikolay before running off to warn the others.

While Nikolay was drinking his wine, Alexander appears with his arms crossed while looking at where Ferdinand was running with all the speed he had.

"How has he been in training?" Alexander asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Fine for now, but I'll make it more difficult... how is the Dacian Royal Palace?" asked Nikolay as he sipped his wine.

"Your sister almost killed Johan using a spoon, it took your Mother and several of the Dacian Royal Guards to stop her." Alexander replied as he saw Ferdinand dodge several bullets from some Cossacks while using Magic Shield.

"Understandable." Nikolay said nodding as he finished his wine.

'How is that understandable, Nikolay?! She almost killed her Husband just because her son is being military trained!' Alexander thought with one of his eyes shaking with irritation.

"Anyway...how has the Dacian Soldiers' Training been going?" Nikolay asked as he set the wine aside and looked into his father's eyes.

"From the reports, it is having an improvement, the Officials stopped calling it 'garbage' and went to 'not very good', which is a significant advance." Alexander replied while focusing his attention on his son.

"Um, yes, while the Dacian Army has Imperial equipment and weaponry, which are the best, it still has untrained personnel, not to mention that just recently, Dacia is creating a Professional Army, even with our help it will take a long time... the best way is to have Life and Death Training on the Battlefield" Said Nikolay as he got up from his chair and focused on Ferdinand, who was now doing squats while a Cossack held a stick.

"Yes, there is no better Training for a Soldier than fighting for his own life, that's the only way to gain real experience." Alexander said with a deep and serious tone in his voice.

"Well...we just have to hope Dmitrievna doesn't try to kill her own Husband again." Said Nikolay as he went to his tent.

Alexander nodded and continued to watch Ferdinand suffer at the hands of the Cossacks

Meanwhile at the Royal Palace

"Please, my dear Wife, understand that-"

"UNDERSTANDING?! YOU SENT OUR SON TO MILITARY TRAINING, JOHAN, NO MATTER HOW MATURE AND INTELLIGENT HE IS, HE IS STILL A CHILD" Screamed Dmitrievna in rage as she held Johan by the neck.

"My dear, I think it's over, you're going to kill him, besides, you're not acting like a true Lady" Natalya said in a scolding tone as she looked seriously at Dmitrievna.

Seeing her Mother's serious gaze, Dmitrievna reluctantly let go of Johan's neck, who was left breathing heavily for air.

"Now you are going to have a serious talk, like civilized people and especially, as Husband and Wife about this matter" Natalya said seriously as she grabbed two chairs and placed them facing each other.

With that, they both faced each other as they sat in their respective chairs, both falling silent before Natalya forced them to speak.

Returning to Camp

While the adults were finally starting to have a civil conversation, Ferdinand was continuing his training, now facing off against the Russy White Mages.

'Shit shit shit shit' Thought Ferdinand while holding his Magic Rifle tightly while trying to dodge the Magic shots.

As he dodged the shots, he saw one of Russy's White Mages taking a break, which Ferdinand didn't think twice before aiming his rifle at the Mage and firing an explosive magic shot.

The shot reached the Mage and then exploded, after the smoke disappeared, it was shown that the Mage was fine and had a Magic Shield protecting him.

"TRAINING OVER" Shouted a White Mage before Russy up to Johan flying by.

"Very good, you finally landed your first shot, but you used more Magic Energy than Normal for that shot, you'll have to improve on that." Said the Mage before patting Ferdinand on the shoulder.

"Cheer up, you've secured your soup today! Hahaha" Said the Wizard before flying back to the Military Camp.

Ferdinand upon hearing this, sighed wearily before following the Mage back to the Camp.
