"We are trying to track Alec. I am going to give my statement in court that it was not Cassian who attacked me. As long as I will reject it, Cassian had nothing to prove that he had sent those men." Mary smirked when Cassey's eyes trembled.

Cassey held the corner of the tables tightly as if she needed support to maintain her composure.

"No.. no one would believe in you." Cassey shook her head with her trembling eyes.

  "How could you know who had attacked you? There is no way to prove it." Her voice was so forceful that the servants frowned.

"My lady, should you not be praying that everyone would accept it?" Stella could not help but ask.

She never liked these commoners taking the position of her mistress. It was a position that belonged to the princess. A noble should only take that place.
