Chapter 111: A Strange Woman

"I will help you be strong and protect yourself. But I want you to convince my daughter that you love someone else." He paused for a second before nodding his head.

"Alright, I have spent enough time with you. I will contact you soon." She left after warning him which he did not hear.

Later, Cassian held Alec's hand and took him to a party. Noticing their presence, everyone stopped and stared at the rumored child.

A few people were fascinated, amazed, and jealous of him, but many mocked his origins. In the end, the child was illegitimate. It did not matter how much he resembled Cassian.

If not for him, Cassian could marry any higher noble lady. But they could not ignore how perfect they looked together. As if cut from the same cloth, even their posture was the same.

But Alec was a cute version of Cassian who knew how to smile.
