Chapter 50: No Turning Back

"Why do you need to arrange a tea party?" he titled his head, trying to look at the child.

His heart hurt every time Alec tried to run away. If only he found Alec sooner.

"Alec will also meet other noble ladies. It is better that he would be recognized as my son sooner or the rumors will continue to spread." She smirked looking at his cracking eyes. 

"What do you say, Alec? Do you want to have a tea party with a lot of kind women and a lot of fancy desserts?" The boy blinked and raised his hands when she smiled and picked him up in her arms.

He leaned on her chest like a child, then smiled at her.

"Will the mother tell everyone that I am his son?" Mary laughed as she nodded her head and patted his back.

"That is right! I will tell the world that I gave birth to such a kind and sweet boy. Look, our hair matches." The boy blushed and nodded his head while hiding in her chest again.
