Chapter 35: Only To Her Mistress

"Knock" "knock"

Mary tossed herself on her bed and covered her face with the pillow but the sound of knocking on the door did not fade away. One thing that she really hated was waking up early in the morning since she had always been a night crawler.

Last night was intense. There was so much in her mind that she just could not sleep. She only felt her eyes getting heavier when the sun rose.

"Knock!" "Knock"

She mumbled a curse and tossed again.

"I am not opening the door, come later." she yelled as the door just did not stop knocking. She was amazed that it still did not break with the force.

"My lady, your highness is calling for you. You should come out this instant." The maid had given up on trying to wake her up, but she still tries to do it, only to get silence in reply.

She looked at the head maid who had fumed.

"Lady, your highness can not keep waiting. You must come with us!" she said in a stern voice, but Mary simply ignored the pleading voices.
