Chapter 43: Throw?

Jiang Ting and Zhao Song walked forward, heading toward the academy gates. Huang Chen and his father had already left, since core elders in the academy had to stay within the academy, as a result, Huang Jun and his family resided within the academy in private quarters similar to that of Wang Chun.

Jiang Ting and Zhao Song, meanwhile, resided outside campus, with their families, and had to head back home after the competition.

The sun had set while they were speaking with the master, and now the moon was shining brightly in the sky. Both young men were deep in thought, pondering over the Master's words.

"Wouldn't it be better for the master to not take us to this martial arts gathering?" Asked Zhao Song with some confusion. "If he doesn't want us to end up catching enough attention to become those royal servants or whatever, wouldn't it be far better to just keep us here and make up some excuse about us being injured?"
