Hazelle screamed and ducked as Alistair flung a chair in her direction, his face thunderous with rage. She had believed his mood was improving after he went out with Silas to look for Eugene Attonson, but clearly, something must have set him off! 

"Alistair! What is the meaning of this?" Hazelle cried out, flinching as he shoved down an entire bookshelf, causing books to fall all over the floor. 

Alistair let out a cold laugh. "The meaning? There is no meaning to anything right now. My father is serious about giving the throne to Daphne. He means to unite Vramid with Reaweth, to ensure Reaweth's legacy remains as one of glory."
