Chapter 39: It Felt So Good
"Good morning, "Summer greeted, hugging Xavier from behind." How are you feeling today?" He asked." I'm fine, besides someone took good care of me yesterday, "Summer said, smiling. He touched her forehead to check if she was still running a temperature, "Thank God you are better now", Xavier said. Summer looked at him and hugged him "Thank you, Xavier, you don't understand how much you mean to me", she kissed him on the cheek smiling. "Hem!!!" Cherish cleared her throat, gaining their attention.
" Hey sweetheart, how was your night? ", Summer asked. Cherish hugged her and then replied" Fine". "It seems am now invisible," Xavier said, faking angry." Good morning, Xavier, "Cherish said while hugging him." Morning my love, sit let's have breakfast," he said. They all sat down and had breakfast. After breakfast, Xavier asked Summer to his room.
" I want you to move in with me", he said while holding her hands." Are you certain? ", she asked." Yes, I am willing to love you", he said, smiling." Xavier, I love you, but I would rather not force you to love me back," Summer said." Look here sweetie, you are not forcing me to love you, I genuinely want to love you. I came to realize how much I loved you that night you went to the club, you were so beautiful and am sorry I spoke to you rudely, I was just jealous. I didn't want any other guy to see how beautiful and unique you are, "Xavier explained. Summer smiled with tears in her eyes as she touched Xavier's face" I didn't go clubbing that night after you said those hurtful things to me, I went back to my room. " Shhh., I'm sorry I have been cold and harsh to you, but that's because I was trying to protect myself from falling in love with you. Then that night I realized that I was already in love with you," he said and then kissed Summer.
His kiss was soft at first, but then he deepened it, his hands sliding up to cup her face. Summer's heart raced as she kissed him back, her hands reaching up to tangle in his hair.
The kiss was everything that Summer had never known she wanted. It was gentle, yet passionate, and it felt like fireworks exploding inside her chest. As they pulled away, Xavier rested his forehead against hers, his eyes closed.
"Wow," he breathed. "That was wonderful."
Summer opened her eyes and smiled at him. "Yeah, it was."
Xavier wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a tight hug. Summer leaned into him, feeling his warmth surround her.
"I'm so glad I told you how I feel," Xavier whispered. "I don't think I could have kept it a secret any longer."
Summer pulled away slightly and looked up at him. "I'm glad you did, too." "Will you move in with me?" he asked. " Yes, I will," she said and kissed him.
