"You see," Ethan immediately chimed, not wanting to lose this advantage they had to quiet Kiera's anger, ignoring the tapping of her feet.

It took all Kiera had not to retort at both of them as she rolled her poppy-doped eyes. She took a deep breath, and her shoulders relaxed slightly, dipping downward lightly. "Fine. But I want the truth. No more secrets."

Yasmin nodded. She was grateful for the chance to explain herself even though it may not matter to the only person that mattered in this scenario.

"Okay. No more secrets. Let's go somewhere we can talk."

She ignored the fact that her belongings were still in Shane's car and followed her friends. 

Even though she couldn't blame him entirely for how he acted, she felt betrayed by how he left her.
