Chapter 162: Chapter 162 : Jonin Test 2 (Rewrite)
"This is not fair. Ba-chan, I want to be a Jonin too Ya know" Naruto whined.
"Yeah, Make big brother Naruto a Jonin too" added Konohamaru.
"Yes, yes. Make him a Jonin too" came the voice of Konohamaru's two lackeys.
I just sighed at this and also felt Tsunade and others standing beside me doing the same.
"For the last time Naruto, You are not even a Chunin yet. There is no way that I can promote you directly to a Jonin" Tsunade massaged her temples and said in irritation.
"Then why you are making him a Jonin," Naruto said pointing towards me.
"Because one, your brother is already a chunin and can be promoted to a Jonin. And two, he is strong enough to actually get this position." Tsunade replied.
Naruto pouted at this.
"Man, this troublesome" a lazy Nara said from the size line.
"Shut up Shikamaru, you are just saying this because you are already a Chunin" Naruto pouted more.
Currently, Tsunade brought to to training ground 7 to test whether I am a Jonin material or not. Of course, this information was known to Asuma as being one of the opponents I had to overcome but also to the current Jonin sensei of team 10.
He ended up leaking this news to Naruto and Ino.
And all the rest is history.
But now when I think about this again, Naruto is surely at least Chunin material at this point. At least power-wise, he is.
"Why not let him take the test? We will know if he can really do it, Hokage Sama. Even if you can't directly make him a Jonin. This could be a really good opportunity to see whether he is a Chunin material or not" I said trying to stop Naruto's whining and start the test.
Honestly, I was itching to kick all those Jonin's ass. It was getting hard to control the smile on my face after thinking how great that would be.
Hearing my words there was a mega-watt smile on Naruto's face. Tsunade at this just looked at me and then signed harder.
"Alright Naruto, you go first. If you can handle the Jonin test like 30% Then I will make you a Chunin" Tsunade replied already feeling like a headache coming.
"Ha, leave it to me. No matter what. I will not lose, after all, I will be the Hokage" Naruto said this trade mark line and jumped into the test.
"Alright then who is going to come first" Naruto shouted.
"How about you start with Kurenai" Tsunade pointed towards a sexy red-eye sensei of team 8.
"No problem," Naruto said and directly went towards Kurenai.
I looked towards Tsunade to find that he was not even looking at Naruto's examination. Seems like I am not the only one who has no expectations from Naruto.
"Although Naruto is strong that does not mean he can always walk on by force," I muttered under my breath.
"Don't you think that directly sending him for the Genjustu test is a little cruel?" Kirito asked.
"Not at all. That brat needs to learn that not every time he can win by just throwing Rasengan's at his problems" Tsunade said and almost everyone nodded at this.
"Hhmmm well until he comes, mind explaining the test to me".
"Yeah it's pretty simple actually" Tsuande motioned towards all the Jonin and their teams standing there.
"You have to have all the aspects to become a Jonin. Taijutsu, Genjutsu, Kenjutsu, Ninjutsu and in your case even Fuinjutsu and Senjutsu.
I know that you are proficient in all of them. This is a little rarity as most of the Jonin focus on one art and master it to perfection.
So I have gathered the mastered in all those arts. You just have to pass in two of the said arts so that I can make you a Jonin.
But remember that does not mean that you hold back in others. I this time want a real estimation of your power Kirito. Don't hold back.
Those two damn elders for some reason are against your promotion. I need to have some positive results to promote you" Tsunade said and looked a little dignified.
"Elders? How come those pre-historic creatures are still alive?" I asked mentally taking note to strangle those bastards later and this drew laughter from pretty much everyone around me.
"Haha, this kid might look like Minato, Tsunade but he sometimes acts just like Kushina" Jiraiya laughed and there was a smirk on Tsunade's face too.
"Seems like your brother is done." Tsunade pointed.
I looked back to see Naruto's already lying flat on the ground. Surely he could not take the Genjutsu. Man if only that damn Nine Tail actually help him out. Falling for a Genjutsu for someone like a Jinchuriki is shameful. They literally have a partner inside them to wake them from the Genjutsu like a nanny.
"Alright then I am up," I said and approached Kurenai first.
"I am not really that big fan of Genjutsu. And currently, this is the only area where I lack. I only have one Genjutsu technique which too needs a lot of preparation to do. I might wanna a little more about Genjustu in my free time" I thought.
"Yo Kurenai Sensei," I said.
"Hello, Kirito Kun. We did not have much chance to meet in the past. But I have learned a lot about you from my own team" Kurenai said and smiled.
I smiled too and said.
"Yeah, I too hear a lot about you from Hinata, Kiba, and Shino. From Asuma Sensei too." I said especially the last part narrowing my eyes a little and a little smirk coming on my face.
This was caught by Kurenai but she did not react.
"Ahm, Okay then let's start your test" Kurenai said. There was little hint of red somewhere in her face or maybe that was because of the heat. I can't quite say.
After that, I felt chakra infusing in Kurenai and then foreign chakra suddenly entered into my system.
Most Genjutsu work with eye contact. I was not avoiding the eyes for this particular reason. The test is to break the Genjutsu and not to avoid it.
I felt the chakra and immediately I was able to break it.
"That genjutsu. Let me guess, a B level at best" I asked. There is no way that her Genjutsu talent is so poor that I identify the chakra fluctuation and break the Genjutsu so easily.
"Yes, this is the exact Genjutsu your brother fainted," Kurenai said with a smile.
"hmm, what did he see in the illusion? I removed mine so quickly that I was not able to see what the Genjustu was about" I was now curious. What could made Naruto fail?
"The Genjutsu show what the person fears the most. Naruto show ghosts" Kurenai said and chuckled.
"Yeah Naruto is afraid of ghosts" I nodded.
"How about using some powerful illusion? "
"If you say so" Kurenai's lips curved in an arc and then she made hand signs.
And then suddenly the time stops. Or it was more like I entered into an illusion in which the time stopped flowing.
"I have to say, this is pretty dope. I might even try to pull a prank on her if I did not know that this is a Genjustu and she actually can see what I am doing in that Genjustu. Her knowing what Naruto saw is proof" I muttered and then built up a little chakra and tried to break this Genjustu.
Hmm, nothing happened.
Guess I need something more powerful to get out of here.
I concentrated and then released a little bit of Conqueror's Haki.
Immediately the Time Frozen world started to shake and cracks appeared everywhere. I just smirk at this.
"It's not because of my Haki. I am not using enough power to have this kind of effect on my surroundings. This is happening because this world is not real and Kurenai is being shaken by my little bit of Conqueror's Haki at this time.
Suddenly before I knew it, the entire world collapsed and shattered like a mirror and I was outside of the illusion.
I saw forms of sweat appearing on Kurenai's face and her legs were numb. Almost about to fall.
"Oh yeah, she might be pregnant at this time. I am not sure with all this timeline madness. But I might not want to use Conqueror's against normal people like her in the future" I internally noted and felt sorry.
"Thank you for taking this test Kurenai Sensei. I passed this test I suppose" I asked.
She just smiled faintly, seemed still shaken and then nodded her head.
"Great. Then who comes next" I turned towards the other and asked.
Everyone looked at each other.
Guess they too felt that Haki.
"I will go next," Asuma said and came out.
