Chapter 2: Chapter 1) Earth

Up, Down, Up, Down

Is all that goes through Law's head as he continuously and repeatedly does push ups to tire himself out so he can waste some energy in hopes to sleep away the rest of the dull and boring day.

But some days are more exciting than others.

The door of Laws cell rattles as one of the gourds speaks through the face slot thing on his cell door. "Prisoner 3-0-3, Face the wall"

Laws never been good at taking orders, doesn't help he's about a week away from being floated.

Law stands up swiftly just as the door opens, he's face contorts to that of a snarl "Make me" Is all he says before launching at the first guard through his cell door.

Like that of a snake Law's fist snap out and into the guards face, the guard is on the ground before he knows what hit him. Law moves onto the next guard quickly smashing two elbows into the guards face.

Before Law could continue his beating of the guards a familiar buzz sound grabs Laws attention. But Law can't react as a sharp pain ripples throughout his body, causing him to spasm slightly.

Collapsing onto the ground Law isn't able to defend against the following three zaps from the guards electric baton. "Put the wristband on him and load him on the drop ship"

The following minutes are blurry for Law as he's drag away from his Cell and loaded onto some sort of chair and is buckled in. When Law gains back his bearings it's too a loud rumbling and screams from people.

Inspecting his surroundings Law quickly sees that he's surrounded by his fellow criminals all of whom are strapped to their seats like himself. Law soon hears unmistakably annoying voice of the Chancellor.

"Prisoners of The Ark, hear me now. You've been given a second chance, and as your Chancellor, it is my hope that you see this as not just a chance for you, but a chance for all of us, indeed for mankind itself. We have no idea what is waiting for you down there. If the odds of survival were better, we would've sent others. Frankly, we're sending you because your crimes have made you expendable"

It's easy for Law to come to the conclusion that they were being sent to Earth as test subjects for those privileged Alpha assholes. Law easily enough ignores what ever the Chancellor says, knowing for a fact he's talking right out of his ass.

When the dropships rockets start to slow their descent Law loosens himself up and prepares for the worse he's much rather die in a fiery explosion than from radiation.

The dropship crash's onto the ground and Law can feel the impact travel from his seat into his body, but what catch's his attention is that there's no machine hum. Law doesn't think there's ever been a time in his life where he couldn't hear the sound of machines keeping a Ark alive and floating.

And he's not the only one to notice as his fellow criminals start to unbuckle themselves and Law soon follows.

All the 100 congregate on the bottom floor hoping to get outside only to be stopped by a man in a guards uniform.

Law observes this "guard", he's fairly tall maybe slightly taller then Law himself. The guard seems fairly confident in himself as he tells everyone to "back off" from the door. But Law does notice some tension in his shoulders as his eyes dart round scanning the 100 kids in from of him, he's clearly looking for something or someone.

"Bellamy?" A pretty girl in Laws opinion calls out coming to the front of the crowd.

"My God, look how big you are" The guard, Bellamy, Law assumes, says stepping closer to the pretty girl.

She leaps into his arms, "What are you doing here?"

"Someone had to keep an eye on you" Is Bellamy's reply. Law smiles at the family moment, before spotting that Bellamy has no wristband like everyone else. He smirks to himself, 'Someone isn't supposed to be here'

Law isn't the only one to notice, "Where's your wristband?" The blonde girl asks.

"You mind? I haven't seen my brother in three years" The pretty snaps quite hostile towards the blonde.

While everyone murmurs about the fact that there a pair of siblings on the dropship which shouldn't be possible. Law shrugs it off not caring all that much, ain't his problem.

"That's Octavia Blake, the girl they found hidden in the floor" a girl points out.

Octavia doesn't that it kindly and lunges at the girl only to be held back by her brother. "Octavia, no. Let's give 'em something else to remember you by"

"Like what?!"

"Like being the first person on the ground in a hundred years" Bellamy tells her before pulling the lever and opening the dropship door.

Everyone is blinded by the light that enters the dropship but they soon recover and stand still in awe.

"A forest?" Someone says but Law doesn't pay much attention. He's to shocked he's never seen so much green in his life, it's beautiful.

The crowd around him surges forward to leave the dropship but Bellamy stands his ground and waits for his sister to lead the way. She only hesitates briefly before walking down the ramp, she soon lands on solid earth.

She pause for a second taking everything in before throwing her arms into the air, "WE'RE BACK BITCHES!"

With that everyone rushes off the dropship even Law can't help but be caught up in the excitement and rushed off the dropship.

When on solid ground, he immediately crouch's down and lands his hand onto the earth and scoops some up into his hand. He closes his hand into a fist getting a proper feel for the earth, a smile growing onto his face.

"Woah" he mutters in awe.

Law watches the earth trickle off his hand before moving onto the tree's and all the greenery. He brushes his hands along the trees feeling the bark and leafs, he moves along the trees before looking up and almost getting blinded.

He closes his eyes instinctively, but then feels the warmth on his face. He basks in the warmth from the sun, his smile never leaving his face.

A shout takes Law out of his revelry, "Hey! Hands off! He's with us"

Law wanders over but keeps his distance, happy to watch what ever happens play out.

"Relax. We're just trying to figure out where we are" A dark skinned boy reply's, now Law recognises this kid as the Councillors son Wells Jaha.

"We're on the ground. That's not good enough for you?" Bellamy points out coming to the front.

"We need to find Mount Weather" Wells says looking at the crowd. "You heard my father's message. That has to be our first priority"

While Law doesn't disagree, it probably wasn't wise of the boy to bring his father into it.

"Screw your father! You think you're in charge here? You and your little princess?" Octavia remarks mockingly.

"Don't call her princess" Wells responds quickly, which only causes the crowd to begin calling the blonde girl princess.

The blonde girl steps forward shaking her head, "You think we care who's in charge? We need to find Mount Weather. Not because the Chancellor said so, but because the longer we wait, the hungrier we'll get, the harder it'll be. How long do you think we'll last out here without those supplies?"

Law nods in agreement, that's a much better way to put it then what Wells had say previously.

"We're looking at a 20 mile trek. If we wanna make it before dark, we need to leave... now"

"I got a better idea... You two go. Find it for us. Let the privileged do the hard work for a change" Bellamy says riling the crowd up.

"You're not listening. We all need to go" Wells try's again.

A boy steps out of the crowd, Law knows this new kid as John Murphy, "Look, everybody. It's the Chancellor of Earth" he says shoving Wells.

"You think that's funny?"

Murphy does does answer only delivering a leg sweep to Wells throwing him off his feet. "No... but that is"

Wells gets back to his feet favouring one leg, but is clearly ready to fight back. Law nods his head in respect, at least Wells won't back down Law can respect that.

But before the fight breaks out the Spacewalker drops down between the two boys. "Kid's got one leg. How about you wait until it's a fair fight?"

Octavia approach's Finn, "Hey Spacewalker, rescue me next"

The crowd dissipates slowly as Blonde soon has gathered a small band to leave and head towards Mount Weather to get food and supply's.

Law briefly thinks about joining before choosing not too, he can take care of himself. Plus it's been years since he relied on another person he ain't about to start now.

Law finally gets his head in gear he observes he's surroundings properly. A forest, it's a good place to camp there should be plenty of resource to use if they could find water all would be good.

Resources

It clicks in Laws mind, there's a few kids here from some of the more privileged stations. He wonders if their parents managed to sneak anything onto the dropship for their kids. He smiles and darts into the drop ship.

Inside the dropship Law is tearing it apart, he's already found a few things he can use like some fishing line and scarp metal containers that can be used as bowls and what not.

"What are you doing?" a male voice questions, Law looks towards the voice and sees Bellamy. Law ignores him and finally pulls loose a piece of the dropship ravelling the goods within.

"Tents" Law says pulling them out of the hole. "There's a few, people will have to share or make new ones"

Law hands one to Bellamy and keeps one for himself, "Thanks, What's your name?"

Law ponders if he should answer before nodding, "Law Hart"

Bellamy's eyes widen slightly, he knows who this kid is everyone does. Hell he's practically infamous for sending at least a guard to the infirmary every month, he was used as punishment for guards who step out of line.

Bellamy knows he's gonna want this kid on his side, "Alright find anything else?"

"Naw not yet"

"Let me know if you do, I'll spilt it up for group" Bellamy says watching Law closely.

Law thinks about it before answering, "Sure"

Bellamy nods at Law, before walking away with a smile and his tent. Law spent a little while long searching the dropship coming across a few useful things in the process.

Like clothes and thermal bedding, a few tools that are old and rusted. Basically he finds things that the Ark simply doesn't need any more with the exception of a single knife.

It's has a small blade and a bigger handle, Law knows from his study's that it would've been used for carving wood before the bombs fell 100 years ago. The Knife he keeps for himself, along side a tent, some clothes, Fishing line and a few metal pieces to act as bowls.

With that he leaves the dropship after putting everything in a pile and let's Bellamy know he's finished. Bellamy thanks him before Law leaves to set up his tent and a small fire already having plans for what he's going to do for the rest of the day.
