After we made up in the car, Kian and I decided to eat breakfast out at a café he recommended, for having good pancakes. I wasn't glad that it was close to the bastard's estate, but the possiblity of him driving past us on his way out made the experience all the more thrilling.

At my request, we sat by the glass window, where we could be at full display. Kian raised a brow at my choice but didn't make a fuss out of it.

It wasn't until Midway through our meal, that he wiped his mouth and cleared his throat, "I need to tell you something, it's about what Keith said at the night of the gala."

At the mention of the gala, my mind darted to the kiss that bastard snuck, and the complain Oliver passed along from his father to me. Due to Knoxwell's connections, not a whiff of the scene caused that night was published. He did a thorough sweep, to the extent that even the people who attended sealed their lips.
