The next day felt like hell for me, I stayed couped up in the office the entire time rushing out of meeting after meeting, it wasn't until later in the evening, just two hours before the gala that I finally got a break.

"The suit you ordered has been sent to your apartment, which car would you like to arrive in?" Gwendolyn asked as she walked with me towards the elevator.

After her Tyson ordeal, she had completely thrown herself into work, not that I could blame her, at the moment I was truly no different than her.

"Anyone really, I'm dreading this gala more than anyone else." I told her rolling up my sleeves once the elevator doors came together.

A sigh escaped her lips, "Should I call and cancel?" By cancel, she meant calling Louis' father and telling the man I would no longer be able to attend his gala. In other words, digging an even deeper hole for me.
