Valerie's P. O. V

I hadn't come here to sell the land to anyone, but yet the way this man stared at me like I was meat on a stake shattered my entire resolve.

"I…" I was only seconds away from consenting out of fear, when a loud shout from downstairs caught all of our attention.

"Keith!" Davien's angry voiced yelled, Keith took his hands off my face and rolled his eyes in exhaustion.

Davien was here? Did he come over for me? Or was it because he knew Kian was here too?

"Take her inside, I'll handle him." Keith announced listlessly to Angelina. She nodded devotedly then grabbed me by the elbow, using force to take me away.

Afraid of what might happen if I resisted, I went with her down the hallway, peering helplessly at Davien, begging for help, until she pushed me into the farthest room and shut the door behind me.

I fell miserably unto my knees, "Shit!" I cursed, certain I had bruised my knee.
