Chapter 295: Venara 2

"Why would a vampire save a Lycan prince?" Venara asked, frowning when Aldric recounted how Maximilian Knight had saved him in the past.

Aldric leaned back, recalling the night Maximilian Knight, the vampire he never even knew or heard of, came to his rescue. The moon hung high, casting an eerie glow on the desolate landscape.

Aldric was just a young Lycan then. He found himself caught in a fierce battle with a demon. Fangs bared, claws slashing, it was a fight for survival.

Then he appeared out of the shadows. Aldric could hardly believe his eyes when a vampire saved him. Vampires and Lycans were supposed to be sworn enemies, natural-born adversaries. Yet there stood Max, fangs gleaming, ready to take on the demon.
