Chapter 66: Chapter 66 Friend Zone

Jack’s POV

“So,” the vampire guard mused as the Master disappeared in the night. “That just happened.”

I glanced his way and realized that the shock and surprise on his face were genuine.

“I take it that’s unusual then,” Chris chipped in, pointing in the direction where Azrael had gone off to. The other vampire shook his head.

“More like never happened before,” he replied, and then looked at me, giving me a nod of respect. “I like you, wolf. You’re not all bad.”

I didn’t reply but my wolf scoffed at the half-hearted compliment. Instead, I nodded back and then headed back to the club with Chris hot on my heels.

“But that was a ballsy move,” Chris pointed out, snickering again while we made our way through the hallways upstairs. “I was wondering what you’d like a bag of cocaine for.”

“Why are we talking about drugs?” Grace asked in a displeased tone – having somehow managed to sneak up on a werewolf AND a vampire.
