Grace’s POV

Stomach still tied in knots, I rushed out of the restaurant and towards the bar. But to my surprise, I found Jack standing at the reception desk, talking with one of the female workers. And while they didn’t look like they were flirting, she did have a broad smile across her lips and was eagerly writing something down.

Jealously!

It spiked hot and hard inside of me, gripping so firmly around my chest, that I staggered. Sure, there was nothing that suggested that anything romantic was going on between them, but---
