Chapter 56: Chapter-56 Uncanny Encounter [Part-2]

Alia then proceeded to explain to Karna that they had specifically come to the Forest of Echoes a few days ago to fulfil a quest given to them by someone close to them, who was a priest of the holy church.

The quest involved gathering a particular part of a magical beast, specifically the tongues of bloodhounds.

"For the past few days, we've been trying to find these creatures, following their trails and gathering information, but we haven't come across a single one. We were kind of losing hope that we might not be able to find one at all," Alia explained.

She continued, recounting how they had ventured deeper into the mountain to hunt the bloodhounds but had no luck until they heard loud noises.

"We followed the sound and found you fighting the bloodhounds," she revealed.

"Well, I wouldn't call what I was doing 'fighting'. It was more like barely surviving," Karna responded, chuckling lightly.
