Chapter 226: Worse State

"You will see…" Mark only smiled before directing his gaze ahead. Just like that, he led the two ladies out of the house and straight to the elevator.

Elena was bewildered when Mark pressed the number for the rooftop. Was he mistaken? She stole a glance at him just to be sure and instead met his smiling gaze. 

"We are not leaving the building," he explained.

Instantly, Elena understood. He must have set the things he bought for their dinner on the rooftop. But when did he have the time to make the preparations? 

He must have gotten external help somehow.

Elena was even more surprised when she saw the final set-up in the room. The rooftop was so bright because of the additional fancy bulbs that were connected. 

The décor was simple yet, exquisite. She fell in love with it.

She was glad that Mark did not try to do too much. This setup was okay with her.
