Chapter 369: Confused James

Everything seemed to have been meticulously prepared at first glance but the room was still a little dark and quiet.

James stepped inside but he could still not see past the door toward the other side of the room where Ash was supposed to be held.

He had already stepped past Cal who had welcomed him inside to confirm everything but as he started to step further inside and his eyes began to adjust to the room, his eyes narrowed.

He began searching for Ash as he stepped inside but had yet to see her but he remained hopeful.

He did not have any reason to doubt Cal so he kept walking further inside while Cal followed behind him.

He was simply too unaware and unguarded to expect what came next.

Just as he was almost past the door, he was attacked from behind.

Cal was someone with a superior physique to James so he had quite a lot of power in his body allowing her to easily overpower him when using his form.
