She did not know for certain if she was correct but she felt like she was on to something.

She saw Max walking through the crowd and had already learned to not pry into his business. "Sorry that you lost the fight. It was quite unlucky that it turned out that way. I was cheering for you."

Ash did not think that it was very wise to pry into what had happened and it was unlikely that he would be willing to open up to her about it.
