Chapter 153: The Bad Situation

"Lord Ethan!" George exclaimed upon recognizing the newcomer. "What are you doing here?"

"Ethan! Leave this place if you don't want to lose your life," Duke Henry spoke up again this time. He staggered forward, his body covered in wounds. He was as surprised as George to see Ethan present in their captivity.

"I will," Ethan replied shortly. "With all of you, of course." Ethan quickly surveyed the scene. At the far left, there was George, looking relatively healthy but weakened. Duke Henry appeared strong but was seated.

Only Joanna seemed utterly weakened. Pus oozed from wounds all over her body. She looked at Ethan with teary, glassy eyes.

Without words, Ethan understood what was on Joanna's mind. She knew what had truly happened. She knew Ethan's true identity.

Ethan didn't have difficulty freeing the three prisoners, even without keys. He applied what Lord Gabriel had taught him effectively.
