LEILANI’S POV

In typical Timothy fashion, he had brought me to some restaurant. It wasn’t as fancy as I had imagined he would take me, but it was still over the top. My father had probably coached him on the things that I did and didn’t like.

“You look beautiful tonight, Leilani,” Timothy said as the waitress brought us to our seats.

I smiled politely and sat down, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear. I had half a*s did my ponytail, so I was sure that there were more than a few flyways. “Thank you,” I said.

Timothy was being a true gentleman and I couldn’t stop my mind from wishing that it was Ares who was sitting across from me. He hurt me, and he played me, but he was still the only man that managed to remain on my mind.
