Chapter 34: Chapter 34: Need You

ARES'S POV

Her lips, her body, and everything about her had me craving more of her. I wanted to be gentle with Leilani or at least take it to slow the first time around, but I couldn’t. I couldn’t help the hunger that rippled through me the moment her lips touched mine.

She seemed to be just as hungry for me as I was for her as she clung to my shirt as if I’d disappear. We had been denying each other, but most importantly we had been denying ourselves. No other woman would ever be able to trigger me the way that Leilani did. They just simply did not compare to the type of woman that she is.

“I need you,” I found myself muttering into her neck.

There was a moment of silence, and my heart froze. Was I moving too fast for her? Did she not want me the same way that I wanted her? I didn’t want to scare her away and if need be, I’d wait until she was ready.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to rush you,” I quickly apologized.
