Chapter 241: Alicia and Louis Standing By

The ambulance guys hoisted Chuck inside. With the doors shutting behind him, he felt his tense body ease up at last.

The doc went straight to work on his hurts. Chuck squeezed his eyes shut, his face screwed up with the pain that surged from his ribcage. He had acted tough before, didn't want Alicia to fret or show her that he was weak. People usually like to look their best for the ones they care about.

His body was all banged up and blue with bruises. After floating around in the sea for days, some parts of him had started to get sick. His ribs were cracked, inside he was hurting and it had started to go bad. The situation was pretty grim, but at least he was still breathing, and he was the only guy to make it out of the plane crash.
