Chapter 204: Returning Home in Glory

Louis bent his head close to her ear and whispered, "You trying to take me out, huh?"

Alicia shot him a look, "Oh-yeah?"

Talking, she stepped on his foot once more by accident. After that, Louis didn't chat with her for the rest of their dance. Dancing with a newbie sure was a pain. Not only his shoes, but his feet paid the price.

Luckily, the royal party didn't go on forever. Once it was over, Alicia and Louis left the palace, hopped into the car, and drove to their hotel. The minute they sat down, Alicia burst out, "Man, that royal vibe is way too stuffy. I couldn't talk loud or gulp my coffee. Normally, I'm pretty chill, but there, I felt all tied up."

Louis patted her head softly, "Nah, you did really great tonight."

"Where was I great? I can't even dance right. Thank goodness you led the way, or else it would've been super awkward."

"So, stepping on me twenty-one times was fun for you?"
