Early the next morning, Alicia woke up to find herself lying in Louis's arms, her neck resting on his bicep. The VIP hospital room had two beds, but they had slept in separate ones the night before.
Blinking away sleep, Alicia tilted her delicate chin up and asked, "How did you end up in my bed?"
"I was worried you'd move around and fall out of bed, putting our baby at risk. So, I thought I'd block your way," Louis replied.
Alicia laughed, gently touching his strong jawline. "Feeling better today?"
"Mhm, not as bad as before."
With each other's help, they both managed to sit up in bed – one looking out for the other's pregnancy, the other concerned about the recent stomach-pumping incident.
Alicia burst into laughter, "We're both in our twenties, but we look like a couple of old folks."
With a wry smile, Louis said, "A hundred years from now, I'll go first, and then you."
"Why?"
