Chapter 58: two new elites

After finishing the conversation with his grandmother, Ryu used a dimensional portal to head towards where the guys were, but he stumbled upon an unexpected scene.

BOOM!

He could see how the wall of the practice field suddenly exploded.

"KYAAAAAAaaa!!!" echoed the screams of the women.

"Wh-What is this!?"

"Your Highness!" The two escorts placed themselves in front of Gus to protect him.

"What happened? Was there an accident on the practice field?" Rin asked.

Observing this scene, Ryu was clear that this would be the first significant event in history, so he decided not to intervene, as it would be beneficial for Shin to face some things on his own.

When they learned that the person in front of them was Master Oliver Schtrom, responsible for the change that Cart underwent, Shin became too enraged.

"Are you the one who manipulated Cart?" Shin exclaimed angrily.

"That's right. Well, you see, it was interesting to see him act for me," he responded, continuing to taunt Shin.

"Ohya~ Can't you forgive me either?"

"Yes, I can't forgive you. How many people do you think have suffered at your hands?" Shin said indignantly.

"Because I've already finished my experiment here, I'd like to bid farewell and leave this place," Schtrom commented with a smile on his face.

"But if I let you go, it seems you'll be a great nuisance. That's why just surrender quietly!" his brother replied.

Upon hearing and seeing this, Ryu covered his face with his hand, feeling embarrassed as he shook his head. It seemed that Shin's attitude and behavior hadn't changed. What was with talking so much with an enemy? Would he talk until they got tired and surrendered? Or did he have the Talk-no Jutsu without realizing it?

"Heee... If I were your older brother, I might be a little more concerned, but being you... let me tell you that your words are too arrogant," Oliver replied.

Shin, on the other hand, unsheathed the vibrating sword and began to attack, while Schtrom defended himself calmly. The battle didn't last long, but it was very similar to what he had seen in the anime.

At the moment Shin's attack shattered Oliver's glasses, everyone could notice the peculiarity of his eyes.

"Don't be so arrogant!" he angrily shouted.

"A demon with a complete conscience," people around said seriously as they observed Schtrom standing before them.

In the next moment, just like in the anime, Shin tried to get rid of him by launching an attack at the ceiling of the room, while Oliver mocked him for his lack of accuracy. It was then that the definitive attack unexpectedly came from the sky.

Seeing that things had already concluded, Ryu finally decided it was time to appear.

"Did I defeat him?" Shin wondered, his voice tired.

"He defeated him... a demon who still had consciousness," someone exclaimed incredulously.

"Don't be happy too soon; that demon hasn't died but barely managed to escape," Ryu commented, throwing cold water on everyone present.

When everyone heard him, they turned to see him arriving in the blink of an eye.

"Since when have you been in this place?" August asked.

"I arrived at the moment Shin delivered this final blow," he replied calmly, obviously not revealing the truth as it would be odd.

"How do you know he escaped?" one of the court mages asked.

"It's simple. If you examine the bombed area carefully, you'll realize this fact. Besides, I also sensed that he used magic to escape."

"Why didn't you pursue him if you knew?" someone asked irritably.

"It's obvious it wouldn't serve any purpose. The magic he used instantly took him to a distant place. If I pursue without the proper information, I'd never find him or fall into a trap," Ryu said monotonously, looking at him as if he were foolish.

After that, the girls approached to talk and ask him why he had withdrawn from the scene. He decided to respond later, as important matters were being discussed at that moment.

"It seems Ryu is right," someone commented.

"Young Shin, thank you very much for bravely confronting this person. Apparently, your brother is not the only strong person in the family; both are worthy of being the grandson of the sage and the guru," Rupert Olgan remarked.

After finishing all matters, everyone went home. Meanwhile, Ryu took the girls for a stroll.

"Yuri, I've spoken with Grandma, and she said there would be no problem in teaching you enchantment magic, but you should showcase your talent," Ryu calmly commented as he walked.

"Is it serious, Ryu? Thank you!" she said excitedly as she rushed towards him.

Secily and Maria looked at her enviously, as they would also like to be taught about magic. Seeing their reactions and being able to guess their thoughts, he also spoke to them, as he wouldn't like to prioritize someone over others.

"Maria and Secily, you shouldn't worry because if you talk to my grandmother, she would gladly teach you. However, I didn't mention you both because your specialization is different. I'll talk to my grandfather to assist you. As for healing magic, I can teach you myself," Ryu commented with a smile on his face.

Upon hearing this, both girls were also excited and rushed to hug him. "I must say this feeling is great," he thought joyfully in his heart as he enjoyed the moment.

The next day, Shin went with the guys to talk to Mark's father to try to improve the Vibrating Sword. On his part, Ryu didn't go since he wouldn't always be by his side; he had to deal with more important matters.

He disappeared from his room and appeared again in the organization's hall. Today, they would introduce two new high-level recruits, making a total of 12 people with a strength level higher than that of an SS-class adventurer.

As an interesting fact, he learned that this elite group had a name in their organization: the 'Assassin Queens.'

In his case, it was special since, being the organization's chief, many people who didn't know him referred to him as 'the emperor.' He didn't pay much attention, but he had to admit it sounded cool, and now there wouldn't be 10 assassin kings but 12.

After a moment, he saw 12 people entering. All of them were people he already knew, except for two of them, so he spoke to the system.

"System, show me the characteristics of both."

[Host,]

[Name]: Ren (Image)

[Gender]: Female

[Age]: 19 years

[Talent]: Elemental Magic Attributes - Fire, Air, Earth, Thunder, Water (Level 9 - limit level 10)

[Name]: Ah Qi (Image)

[Gender]: Female

[Age]: 20 years

[Talent]: Agility (Level 9 - limit level 10), Close Combat (Level 8 - limit level 10), Stealth (Level 8 - limit level 10), Weapon Handling (Level 9 - limit level 10).

Upon seeing the data of both girls, he was too surprised, as one of them was a mage with an incredible future, and the other had the qualifications to be one of the best assassins there could be.

"Presenting respects to the young master," they all said in unison.

Before responding, Ryu looked at them all and used his Haki to exert great pressure on all of them. By doing so, he could see that each of them had a lot of difficulty even breathing, but he didn't release the pressure until a few seconds later. After demonstrating his power, he released the pressure.

"Congratulations on being able to withstand my gaze. I see that none of you have neglected your training," he commented with a calm voice, trying to look powerful.

"Thank you very much," they all said with sweat on their foreheads.

"Alright, introduce yourselves, new girls," he said.

When he finished speaking, each of them introduced themselves and also stated the reason why they had joined the organization.

Ren was poor in her youth and coincidentally found one of the organization's girls. Seeing her talent, they accepted her as an unofficial member about 4 years ago, before he began his solitary journey. Joining this organization gave her enough money for her family to escape poverty and have a good life.

As for Ah Qi, she joined in a very similar way, but her main goal is to avenge the person who killed her family and those who left her younger sister blind. Hearing this gave Ryu an idea since if she is so talented, perhaps her younger sister is too.
