Chapter 13: Secrets of the Vatican
Third Person POV
In the medieval Rome everyone is going about there life without any care as to that the devil's spawn themselves have stepped foot into the holy city.
In a dark alley a silver circle forms and 4 people walk out of it each of them being a beautiful and handsome person in their own right.
The two silver haired men walked forward discussing something.
" Weren't we supposed to teleport directly into the Vatican, why are we in an alley not in the damn church."
"The angels have put a strong anti teleporting magic over the entire Vatican although I can trespass it doing so will alert the people sensitive to magic which will result in a war."
"So you think that the devils will lose the war
huh. "
"Its not a matter of who will win or lose. The moment the war starts all the other pantheons will also jump in like hyenas."
The sole woman of the group pulled out 4 cloaks and 4 masks of different kind and gave them to the other.
" Hey Cain are you sure the priests will not be able to sense our demonic energy if we wear these cloaks."
" Be assured Rizz these are made from the Hide of the demonic shapeshifter chameleon. Its ability to hide its wearer's energy signature is top notch."
" Fine. Anyways let's go. Me and Euclid will go into the armory section and you and Grayfia will go into the library section as planned."
" Yes and remember Rizz if you get caught don't expect me to help I will leave you and get myself out of here."
After that Cain and Grayfia separated from the other two and went on their own way.
"Grayfia i have a hunch that Rizz will deliberately show himself to try and kill me. I need you to start working on the teleportation circle from the start after we enter the church so we can evacuate at a moments notice."
" But what if the circle is not completed and he shows himself?"
" Then both me and Rizz will have to fight till either you or Euclid forms a teleportation circle and yes before you say something I can't use devil magic or my clan trait as it will start a war. So we are rogue magicians from the Organization Grauzauberer. The leader is Mephisto so it will not be weird if we use a little bit of devil magic."
" I understand my lord."
After that Cain went near Grayfia and lifted her up in a princess carry. And this caused her face to become red like tomato.
" Cain what are you doing!"
" Calm down Fia and get your brain out of the gutter. I am doing this so I can travel fast and staying hidden, also use your shadow magic to further suppress our presence."
Hearing that she got back into her maid work did as told.
'While it was true that this way we will be faster I wanted to see her break her stoic mask and it was really cute seeing her all flustered and embarrased and the magic effect of the face getting red was also present.'
'After that I increased my speed to a level where no normal human or even weak supernatural being can't perceive me and started to move towards the largest holy energy source I can sense.'
'After i reached near the wall of the church i entered the church and went on top of a tree hid myself and started sensing how strong the people inside are. And I was disappointed as the strongest person who I think was the Pope was only at mid ultimate class which only a little stronger than me.
'In a fight I might win because of my abilities and physiology but I can't use both of them freely so he may pose a threat to me. All other are at varying level I only sensed 4 other humans at high class level which is good.'
All of this was happening when Rizevim was making his way towards the armory.
Cain went sneaking towards the library and entered from a window without being seen and knocked out the fodder who was guarding it with a single attack on his neck and put a sleeping spell on him using human magic.
After that he put Grayfia down and ordered her to start forming the teleportation circle in the corner where reaching was hard and the books were dusty signifying that not many people came here regularly.
Cain POV
After leaving Grayfia in the corner section of the library I went to search the library but I didn't find any useful book,archive or record looks like there is nothing in this library just as I was about to go back I saw a peculiar book 'The Bible' There were many different versions of bible in many languages but this one has an ancient aura and looked really old.
I went towards it picked it out but instead of coming out the entire shelf started rotating leading to a dark tunnel. I used the connection I had with Grayfia as a Lucifuge and Lucifer to ask her to come here at once. After she came we both went inside and the shelf came back to it's original position.
Grayfia using magic created a light ball to light up the passage and what we saw shocked us. The passage was long and kept on going. And the end it lead to a large dome shaped library. From the looks of it we are underground.
Seeing that the passage was very dusty and unused I figured out that this was not known to anyone in the current generation and ordered Grayfia to make a permanent two way teleportation circle here. It will be a surprise tool that may be of use in the future. After she started her work. I went to look at the library and I was surprised each book here was old and had a depiction of gods and their doings. It was almost as if some fanatic who liked gods made this place all this place was filled with information upon gods. I have hit the jackpot with this.
With this the second most annoying guys in the world can be countered 'the gods'. All that is left is some dragon slaying stuff and I am set. I started reading books i found interesting and useful at once. I made sure to make a magic clock to keep a check of the time.
After sometime ( 3hrs to be precise) Grayfia came and informed me of the completion of the teleportation circle.
"My lord the teleportation circle is complete and can be used. Only those allowed by me or you can use it and it quite hard to trace back as well."
"Splendid work as always Grayfia. Now that we are prepared help we take the books to the circle."
"Yes my lord."
But all my delusions were broke as we learnt that the books or to be more precise this entire library has complex magic and runes arranged so that no book can be taken out of it. And by the looks of it even I will be unable to override it. Maybe it was created by a very strong Angel.
But thanks to that the teleportation circle will see a lot of use as due the weird magic I will need to come here every now and then to read all these books.
After that I went outside making small talk with Grayfia about the library and the books. And the moment when I opened the shelf at the end of the secret passage I was greeted by a light saber to my face. I dodged it and burned the ambusher to ashes.
And after getting a clearview of the library I knew in a heartbeat that Rizevim has started his plan.
"Fia kill all of them leave none alive."
"Yes my lord."
With that time to make Rizz experience a loss.
