Chapter 44: Lonely

Italy. Belmont Palace.

Maria went down after washing up with a simmer of joy in her eyes. It wasn't the usual joy that came from being with her children, no. This was different, it made her feel very different.

She and her children had been dragged into this palace that belonged to Aaron. The people who worked there were both vampires and humans with vampires taking the top positions. The Humans worked as cover since Vampires or any other super natural existence was to be kept a secret and so, even though they had humans among them, only a few trusted humans knew about the Rothschild real identity. All the others merely thought that they were a first tier family with boundless wealth.

Seeing Maria come down, a few of the vampires offered her a smile and greeting. They had received strict orders from Aaron to treat her with utmost care or else.....

His words didn't need to be completed for one to know the circumstances of acting otherwise.
