Chapter 363: Finally Yours

It was full dark by the time Fireknight had both horses ready and their things packed. Luckily, the provisions he'd purchased were already stuffed into his bag, so he only had need to pack the things they'd brought to the cottage, which was little.

Lizbeth was very quiet and pale, but she moved quickly gathering the things he'd brought for her. The dresses she had were too long, because Ash had planned to be saving Zara. But she said she didn't mind. And I didn't miss that her eyes never stopped following Fireknight when they were both in the same room.

When their horses were packed, and ours were installed in the stables, Hildie and I stood watching and waiting as Fireknight helped her mount, then leaped easily onto his own gelding.

"I'll be sending watchers," I warned him.

"Just as long as you tell Zara where we are, and that I'm awaiting instructions."
