Emily gazed into Raylen's blue eyes, which resembled the ice she had attempted to slip away from earlier on the lake. However, with his words and actions, this ice was far more slippery, and her heart raced faster than it usually did. In her mind, she whispered, 'Idiot. Who does that?'

Her eyes lowered from his to look down at her cold chain, which was now less icy to the touch than when she had taken it from him. 

"You should go change your clothes," Emily uttered, her eyes refusing to rise to meet his, as she could feel his intense gaze upon her. They were drawing the attention of the onlookers, and she wanted to escape, yet at the same time, she found herself unable to do so.
