In the Jade Beast forest area, there were several bully monsters. They were designed to basically one-hit kill anyone that came their way. The boar king was one of them, despite being considered relatively weak, but in truth no one in the Jade Beast area could beat him.
And if warrior-rank players came for him, he would stay hidden, but not all of them were like the red boar king; there were monsters that didn't mind brawling with warriors like this one in front of him.
"Hehe, this is so awkward," Wilder said as he stared at the monster.

The creature that stood right in front of him was a giant wolf. Back when he was in the immortal world, he had encountered it, but that time it was at its dying breath, and Wilder even gave it a little treat before doing the needful.
It looked old and tired, so wilder just helped it out, but this guy right here still had much vigor in him, and his claws and teeth looked like they could rip a human in half in one bite.
No one dared to attack it after it wiped out several teams of players, and renowned ranked players couldn't come back to Jade beast Town, talk less of interfering with the monster.
So it was basically invincible in the area, and that made all the players sigh in disappointment; they didn't know what treasure the monster was guarding, but they knew it was bound to be something good.
Unlike them Wilder knew exactly what was there, and he had formulated a plan for getting it.
The last time he came here, he tried using long-distance spells to distract it so he could get in, but as soon as he came in, 10 meters before the cave, the monster wolf came after him with all its might.
This kind of monster was different from the others; they were free like NPCs, as they could follow you for as long as you didn't leave their natural habitat.
Wilder ran for his life, and the monster wolf gave chase, causing him several damages, but eventually he escaped with his life.
But did that mean that he would give up? Absolutely not
He encountered this place when he was being chased by a few enemies from Jade Beast Town while he was in the immortal world; though he was considered the sweetheart of town, he still had enemies, and they didn't waste their time in cornering him in the forest, and that was when he came upon this place.
He hid in the cave, but the enemy somehow found his location. The only reason he was able to escape was because there was a secret back entrance behind the cave.
Now no one in high heaven was able to find this place because of the wolf; the fear of being chased down and killed by the monster was just too much for them to handle. Deaths in high heaven were no small issue; the deaths would affect them in real life.
"Maximum effort," Wilder said as he opened his panel to choose the spiritual warrior class.
After choosing the class, nothing changed in his physical appearance, only his attributes.

His defense went down, and his energy manipulation went up. His skills also changed. There were advantages and disadvantages to being able to change classes.
But of course, the advantages outweighed the disadvantages.
"Fireball" Wilder stretched his hand to his left and shot out the spell into a shrubbery of bushes.
There was vegetation all over the place. Of course, this was a forest, so it was only natural. Not long after, the place started burning.
The High Heaven game was very realistic, so someone like Wilder, who was very experienced in battle and knew how to use his surroundings, had a very big advantage over others.
"Grrr," the wolf that stood guard looked over at the fire and started approaching it slowly.
Wilder waited and waited.
And as soon as it got far enough, he made his move.
"wind movement"
Spiritual warriors had low defenses, so they had to find a way to avoid getting hit; spells like Wind Movement helped them a lot in that aspect.
"Woosh" Wilder sprinted forward with a sort of corporeal wind surrounding his body.

"Grr," before he could get far enough, the wolf noticed him and gave chase, but Wilder did not falter.
He knew that it was nearly impossible to defeat this monster, but if his memories served him right, the hole that was at the back of the mountain was too small for the wolf to get through.
Wilder only needed to get there, and he would be home free.
Of course, he didn't account for how determined the wolf was in its pursuit to rip him to shreds.
It was closing in fast
"Shit shit," Wilder used all his strength to push himself forward.
"If I can just get to that edge, I will be home free," Wilder thought as he approached a small downward slope that led to the back of the mountain.
Not long after, he jumped and landed on the floor, he didn't waste anytime though. As soon as he landed, he got himself up and ran into a small man-sized hole behind the mountain.
"Safe," he breathed with a sigh of relief as he lay on his belly inside the hole.
"Grrrr" Outside the cave, the monster wolf could be seen trying to fit his mouth into the hole, but he just couldn't. It was too small for it.
Wilder was happy to see that now all that remained was for him to crawl into the cave.
And so He started crawling.
The hole was too small for him to even move properly, so he had to pull off a military-style crawl through the hole.
After a few seconds of crawling, he was met with a small water hole that led downward into the cave.
This was his target; he took a deep breath and dove into it. The place was very cramped, but Wilder preserved himself, moving slowly through it all.

Wilder looked around for a few seconds.
"It's still here," he thought in his mind.
The Jade Bone Pool helped him strengthen his body by a large margin when he was in the Immortal World; it was his first real powerup, and now he had found it here in High Heaven, it was becoming more apparent that this game was clearly a replica of the Immortal World.
But how was it that the people who designed it could get so much accuracy? it wasn't adding up at all

The system announced in Wilder's head, Wilder had tasked the system with keeping him updated on everything and anything that happened in game that might cause him harm.
Unlike the games AI, the system was very sophisticated and could handle so much more than High Heaven AI.
"Shit" Wilder checked his stats and began swimming for his life.
The pool was as clear as crystal water, and from what he could remember, the pool was really deep; it would be a close one at the very least, so he had to swim fast; he couldn't afford to die right now.

After a minute and a half of swimming,
"Haaa haaa!" Wilder climbed out of the pool, breathing heavily.
He then checked his stats.

His HP had dropped to the limit; if he stayed for another 3 seconds, he would have died in game, causing him grave injuries in his real body.
It was too much of a risk in his previous life, and he didn't remember it being like this; back in the immortal world, it was only slightly painful, but this was a silent killer.
"oh?" Wilder looked surprised, though his HP had gone down considerably. His defense went up like crazy.
"So this is the effect," Wilder mused.
This was a huge boost; he could always heal up and get his HP back, but this defense increase was something else, plus he was using the spiritual warrior class, which had bad defense.
"Let me see..." Wilder had a sudden idea causing him to change his class.

"Woah!" His eyes glowed.
Even after changing his class, the defense was still very high. Defense was not the forte of the swordsman class, but now that he had such a high defense, if he went up against his fellow sword men, he would destroy them at the same level.
Even if they attacked him, it would be like a gentle breeze; he was basically a walking tank right now.

The people of Jade Beast Town had the idea that the wolf could not enter the cave as it was merely a guardian.
But they couldn't be any more mistaken.
