MARCH, 1 MONTH UNTIL THE STARSPAWN INVASION
…Or so it should've been one month.
From a single look at the massive telescope aimed into the night sky, Cael could tell that it would be much less than a month.
Where only days ago there were nothing but pinpricks of faraway stars, shining coldly upon the world below, now appeared new shapes.
They didn't look like ships at all. Instead, they resembled giant steel arrowheads, propelled forward by bursts of energy powerful enough to attract the eye before an observer spotted the vessels themselves.
The vessels—the 'spaceships' as System and Starspawns called them—didn't hide. They approached in a tight formation, which Cael at first took for a single object until it got closer.
In the observatory of the Royal Tower-Palace of Riviera, Cael stepped back from the telescope.
He turned to the person observing him from the side. Niko.
