The real Cael stopped in his tracks, almost literally torn apart by contradicting urges. Dieter and Ronzio were getting further and further away, but his friends were under an attack that was much more serious than he originally expected.
If there was only Dieter, Cael would've risked it. But with Ronzio… Cael didn't know if Dieter and Occhio will be strong enough to take the mage out if the Starspawn that possesses him goes all out. Even if Cael warned them, which didn't mean that the two would believe his warning.
Away from his real body, Ginevra threw a sharp glance at Cael's clone and smirked. It was likely supposed to be reassuring.
"We will manage there, Cael. Just deal with the competition and you'd be able to come back and help. Though I'm sure there will be no need for it, anyway."
