He envied Romeo, who had already finished his portion and quietly sipped wine by now.

"Enough," Arca finally said, putting his fork down. "Signora von Rotermond, thank you for your hospitality, but I don't think I can stomach a meal before business. Not this business, certainly. An assassin after your head! That's not quite the way his kind acts… Retreating so easily, too."

Arca was sure that the man in white wasn't Spezzian—he was too short, and his magic didn't fit, either. But there was a high chance that they were connected.
