The sand a hundred meters away from the scene of battle wasn't any different from the sand anywhere else in this desert, but it's the thought that counted.
For Cael, at least.
A dozen of dragons of different sizes flew in circles above him and Ginevra. Some of them were as big as the ones Cael and his group just defeated; others were smaller or bigger. He spotted a couple of golden and quicksilver ones, but most were of others, unseen before variations.
"Trespassers!" they growled at each other, and Cael listened to the sounds of their voices. "They defeated the patrol!"
The dragons, just like the ones Cael met before, didn't speak in the Mattoni language. The ones that addressed him before used the Bearsh language.
These ones did, too. Since dragons remembered knowledge of their ancestors, it wasn't strange for them to know a lot of languages. And they clearly wanted to be understood by Cael, even if they addressed each other.
I guess... Void is superior dragon because he has all the colors in him.
