Chapter 167: Master and Mistress

"Treasure?" Mimi perked up. "Do you have treasure?"

Ginevra folded her hands over her chest. "I take this as a no… So the only worthwhile thing in this tower is the tower itself. That, and the people in here could easily become our servants. We could train faster if we won't have to cook by ourselves."

Cael nodded, but his focus stayed mainly on Mimi, who still looked hopefully at him. He returned her look with a questioning one of her own. "You… want some treasure?" he guessed. "You like gold?"

"Gold is nice," Mimi nodded. "It tastes sour and sweet, like oranges. I didn't have either for sooo long. Can I have some coins, pleeease? I… I will even give you something I have back."

"An exchange?" Cael raised his eyebrows. "Alright."

He had some gold to spare for this experiment. First, he wanted to see how Mimi ate metal. Did she dissolve it inside of her? How the hell did that work?
