"TALIA!" Lex yelled at me as I continued to step forward.

"Stay here, Lex." I ordered him. "I will be right back."

With arrogance, anger, confidence, and a desire to protect the people that were in danger, I stepped through the barrier, and out of the protection. Lex was still there, however, and I knew he was pissed off at me. He wanted to yell at me to come back, to stay safe at his side, or even to let him fight my battles for me. However, that wasn't going to work here. 

If I was ever going to lead these people, to be the true ruler of the Underworld, then I needed to show them my power, and gain their respect. They needed to know what I was capable of. What would happen to them if they disobeyed.
