They were gone. All of them. They faded away with the light and the magic. I knew they weren't gone forever, not really. They were being reborn. And what physical essence they did have was now inside me. They were a part of me, their powers, their abilities, and their authority. It was all mine now.
"Talia?" Lex was the first to speak. "Are you alright?" He called to me, and it made me think so strongly of this morning, when I was still in pain from last night. From what we'd shared with each other. The thought made me blush scarlet before I was able to get my emotions in check.
"I'm fine." I smiled and was relieved that I sounded halfway normal.
"What happened?" Dad said. "One moment you were next to us, and the next you were over there with glowing lights."
