"Should we settle into the room? Maybe relax a little? You could take a shower if you want." Lex was offering me time to get ready for him. 

"Yeah, OK." I nodded. "Thank you."

"I can order us something from room service or something." He offered.

"Just something to drink. I'm not hungry."

"It'll be here when you get out of the shower." He rose and stepped away from me. Something told me that my life with Lex was going to be a lot more tender and sweet than I ever imagined it to be. He was a kind and gentle soul, though most people would never see that side of him. It was reserved especially for me.

Mom had sent up a bag for each of us. Everything I should need would be in the bag, so I just grabbed the smaller, purple bag, I guessed was mine, and headed back into the bathroom. In truth, I was glad I had this time to prepare before Lex and I got right to business.
