The rest of the reception started to progress just like any other I had attended. We were all hungry, so we ate as soon as the speeches were over. The menu had been decided by the restaurant, but Paris was right. They had gone all out for it. Then again, the money my parents offered them might have had something to do with it. Not that I was going to complain at all. My stomach and palette were delighted by the cuisine. 

After having my fill of tender steak, creamy chicken dishes, braised pork roast, and so much more, the meal was cleared away, and replaced with small finger foods people could nibble on through the night, if they were to get hungry again. I was full, so I ignored them, as did most people for the time being. However, it was time to move onto other parts of the night.
