Ilana pulled me by the hand until we were out of the theater and standing there in the dark night. She looked around her then turned to face me.

"OK Darrol, where to next? And do not be embarrassed by it at all. I am having the best birthday date of my life, and you are not going to ruin this for me." There was a laugh in her voice as she scolded me.

"A..alright." I laughed as I answered her. My stuttering was not from fear or embarrassment. This time it was because I was trying not to laugh at her more than I already was. "Come on, there are a few things that I have planned for us still."

"Yay! I can't wait." She took my hand again and let me guide her in the right direction. I took her to the car and drove across town to the park that we had seen several times. It wasn't the biggest park in the world, but it was still large, and it was the nicest one in the city as well.
