Chapter 33: Chapter 29 - Bogus

Day 3, 12:07 PM.

The temperature spiked as the day progressed, as well as the humidity in the air. When it was the middle of the day, the sun was blazing directly above our head. The tropical wind was barely enough to keep us cool. On top of that, class C was busy running their own errands. They were sweating profoundly, causing their gym uniforms to stick to their skin.

This, was without a doubt the hottest day we'd experienced ever since we first stepped on this island.

"Ugh! This is getting unbearable!"

Of course, heat has a direct effect on human psychology. Humans tend to be more restless, emotional and counterproductive when the temperature gets warmer than usual. They even become easy-to-aggravate under situations like this. Which is exactly why drivers tend to honk and yell more in a traffic jam during the summer than in comparison to winter.

"Hey! Stop slackin' off, Onizuka!" Yamauchi roared.

"Wha-? I'm not! Are you blind?" Onizuka shot back.

"Then why're are you sitting there doing nothing?"

"I'm taking care of the food, you imbecile! Can you not see why I'm sitting next to the oven? God, you really need to get your eyes checked!"

"Shut up!"

I could already see my classmates being influenced by the heat already. Or, maybe it was just Yamauchi being a nuisance that he was. I seriously need to think of a way to fix him.

We didn't send any group to scout the island that day. There was no need to do so, as we had already covered the whole northern island. I had the list of all the locations where the spot recognition devices were located. I was also able to locate class A's base camp where I even managed to cross out my suspicion regarding the names of the leaders. In short, the scouts weren't needed any longer. As a result, the number of food gatherer groups extended.

However, gathering and cooking food for a headcount of forty would eventually turn into a pain. We also have to keep in mind that the resources available on the island was limited. About a hundred and twenty-two people are inhabitants of this island for four more days [due to Sakayanagi, and thirty-three other students from class D being exempted from the exam]. So, the rate of finding food and resources would only decrease from this point on.

I'm sure there will come a time when we'll have to buy food using our points. It would also be a welcome change to our unsatisfied bellies. Should we do that from tomorrow, or the day after?

But for the current situation...

"Hey! Why don't we take a break and go swim in the river?" Karuizawa suggested.

"Yeah, this heat is too much for me! I feel like I'm gonna die!" Satou remarked.

"Oh, you said it!" Onizuka crowed.

One by one the students began to form a mutual agreement. It was to be expected. The weather was hot and unbearable. A little dive in the river would be enough to take a whole day's sweat and fatigue away.

....

Or, get new one's I guess? Depending on how bad their swimming posture is.

"Then we should take turns to swim. The river isn't big enough to hold forty of us. And even if it was, the water will only get dirty." Hirata made a logical conclusion.

"We'll have to go in groups then. While one group swims, the other's would have to look after the camp. That way, there'll be an equilibrium." I replied.

"An equi- what the heck did you just say?" Ike asked.

"Now the question is, who will be in which group? And which group goes first?" Karuizawa asked.

"That's simple. Form groups with whoever you feel easy to be around. You'll be able to have more fun that way. As for which group to go first... Will a lottery pull be enough?" I replied.

"That'd be great. Let's go with that!" Hirata replied.

At that moment the class was immediately divided into three groups. One group consisted of both Karuizawa and Kikyou's friend circle, the other group centered around Hirata and other friend circles.

And finally, we have our group, the loners group! The name is self-explanatory. Basically loners with no friend circle will be part of this group.

I'm sure you understand why I will be part of this.

Day 3, 12:47 PM.

*splash!

"Kyaaa!" A splash of water hits Karuizawa in her face. "Stop it! I told you to sto- uwaa!"

"Ehehe! Nope! It's so much fun to keep doing it!" Satou splashes her again.

"Why you-! Here! You take it!"

"Kyaa!"

The students of class C....uh...well, some of them. Some of the students of class C were swimming in the river next to our base camp. Karuizawa, Satou, Shinohara, Kikyou, Mei-Wang, and Inogashira; alongside some boys Kikuchi, Okitani, Hondou, Ike, Yamauchi and Makida. It was quite the sight to see the children enjoy swimming in the river, boys and girls alike.

But is it really okay for someone like Yamauchi to be there though?

No, Makida and Kikuchi should be mature enough to stop him.

"Look at them. Screaming and laughing so loudly. It's as if they've turned into children."

As I was pondering by myself while standing right on the edge of the cliff, Horikita appeared from behind.

"Well, there's nothing wrong with that. We should all have fun while we can. You can't really do things like this when you're all grown up."

"That doesn't sound fitting coming from someone as stoic as you."

"I'm not going to deny that." I mumbled.

"Also, why are you talking like someone who's already grown up? You're the same age as me."

Oh, I wonder why...

"Experience in different fields. Let's go with that."

"And what range of experience are you specifically talking about?"

"Oh, I wonder..."

"You don't have to be so mysterious all the time. You can at least tell me this."

No, I really wonder what I should tell her.

"I may have lived with too many adults around me and observed how depressed and burnt out they become once they enter the job world."

"Is that true?"

Maybe...

"The school days are our spring period. After this, a life long winter awaits us. Unfortunately, we have to step into that territory one day, regardless we like it or not. That's why I want you to enjoy whatever little things you can at this moment."

"How philosophical..."

"Sigh~! Just don't do anything that you'll regret in the future."

"Of course. I don't intend to have any regrets. That's why I'm working hard to not have regrets. I'll enjoy my life later when I'm successful."

I've seen so many people say that line, only to cry and wallow in regret later in the future.

But I'm not going to discourage her. Instead, if she chooses this path on her own, then I can only support her as a side character who wasn't even supposed to exist here in the first place.

"Then, I hope you have a great life ahead of you." I replied.

"I wish you the same." she replied.

"Hey! Horikita-san! Levent-kun! You can come join us if you want!" Kikyou called out to us.

"It's not our turn yet though." I was about to say that. But the words didn't get the chance to come out of my throat.

"No, thank you. Besides, I'm not interested in these kind of childish stuff." She immediately shot her down.

"O-oh. Is that...so?" Kikyou looked down.

"Eh... C'mon. Don't be like that. It's really fun!" Karuizawa dared to ask the Ice Queen.

"You're free to waste your time by having fun like that, by all means. I have much more important stuff to do."

"Wha-! Hmph! Whatever! Do what you want!" Karuizawa glared at her.

"She's always like that! Just ignore her!" Shinohara rasped.

"How rude!" the other's audibly remarked.

"Hey! Chill! You just need to cool down. Take this, hahahaha!" Yamauchi said as he splashed a big wave of water at us.

"!!!!!"

This seemingly drenched both of us. Everyone was shocked by this. To think that Yamauchi had a death wish. Immediately, Horikita glared at him as if she's about to kill him the moment he steps out of the water. In response to this, Yamauchi made a 'Oh fuck! I'll just go die' expression and drowned in the river.

"Relax. They're just having fun." I told her.

"It was fine as long as they were having fun for themselves. But as soon as they decided to involve me, I found it irritating. It's not even time for our group to swim."

"I understand that Yamauchi went a bit too far. But you could've been nicer to the others. They just wanted you to join them."

"I was just stating what I was really thinking." She replied.

"But they only had good intentions. Did you really have to say it like that?"

"If I had lied, they'd only get the wrong idea. So, I don't see any point in sugarcoating my words." She countered.

"Of course there's a point. They're your comrades. You don't talk down to your comrades like that." I scolded...sort of.

"I guess that's true. But what difference does it make? We are the ones who are carrying them to class A, aren't we?"

"....."

"What is it?"

"Aren't you the one being childish here?"

Horikita's eyes widened after hearing my tone change. If someone doesn't want to admit to their mistakes, then you have to forcefully point it out to them. Otherwise, reprimand them without delay or leave them be.

"How was I being childish?"

I grabbed Horikita by her shoulder and dragged her a little further away so that the others can't listen to our conversation.

"Do I really have to point everything out?" I began my lecture. "They were simply asking you to join them for a swim. I get it, you don't want to. But instead of rejecting them politely, you went as far as to make a snide remark about them. Why do something unnecessary like that? Also get this through your head. Just because you think having fun sucks doesn't necessarily give you enough entitlement to ruin that for the others. And as for the 'important stuff' you mentioned earlier. Just what exactly is it that's so 'important' that it made you degrade your bond with your comrades? Why are you silent? Answer me. Do enlighten me..."

Horikita went silent for a while. After she was done contemplating, she parted her lips with an apologetic tone.

"You- you're right. It seems my actions were indeed worthy of your criticism. I apologize."

"Why are you apologizing to me? Apologize to them. They're the ones you have wronged." I pointed toward the river.

"I...I guess that's true." Horikita turned toward the river and said this. "Kushida-san. Karuizawa-san. I'd like to apologize for my rude behavior earlier. I'm sorry."

"..."

Everyone seemed to be taken aback by Horikita's unexpected behavior.

"Oh... Uh, it's okay! It happens!" Kikyou was the one to break the silence.

"Yeah! Don't worry about it." Karuizawa also added.

"Thank you. However, I will not be swimming with you as I don't want to swim at this moment. I hope you understand."

"It's okay. We hope that we can have fun with you some other time." Kikyou replied.

"If that's the case, then I'll be leaving." Horikita bowed.

"So emotional~. You almost made me cry. Waa~!" I wiped an imaginary tear.

Horikita glared at me in embarrassment. Then she karate chopped me on my left side.

"Ouch."

"I'm leaving!" She turned away to leave, while I smiled at her cute atrocities.

"But you know what? I'm glad that you admitted to your mistake and even apologized accordingly. I wish you could stop holding onto those superior thoughts of yours. I really love seeing you grow like this"

Horikita paused for a moment. She seemed to be taken aback by my words.

"I'd.. I'd much rather you stop making fun of me Levent-kun."

She immediately prompted to run away from me. That was to be expected. Even I, who said those words, cringed at myself. So, obviously Horikita, who was already embarrassed would think that I was only making fun of her. Even though that really wasn't my intention.

I turned my attention back toward the river. Thankfully, the tense air from before subsided as soon as Horikita apologized. Kikyou and the others immediately went back to their cheerful mode. I enjoyed seeing them having the time of their life.

"Kyaah!!!"

However, as soon as Horikita started moving, her legs slipped from the mud and began falling on her back. Instinctively, she grabbed onto my shirt to support herself.

"Eh?"

But as I was also 'caught off-guard', as soon as she latched onto me, I also lost my balance and inevitably, we both fell on the river on top of each other. I instantly grabbed and spun my body around her to absorb some of the impact.

*Splash!

••••••

Day 3, 12:53 PM.

It hurts...Badly.

"Oi! Levent! Horikita-san! What happened?" Okitani was the first one to yell at us. The other's instantly began swimming toward us to check if we were okay.

We didn't fall into the deep river; the water was only a few inches deep. The impact was definitely reduced because of the water. However, a few inches could only absorb so much of my force.

The ground was full of rocks and pebbles. I, so happened to hit my head on one of those rocks, with full gravity. And to top it all off, a few droplets of water accidentally invaded my left ear canal. So, I was constantly hearing this "beep" sound.

How annoying!

"L-Levent-kun? Levent-kun! Are you okay?" Horikita screamed out.

"*cough! Huh? Oh, yeah. I'm... *cough, I'm fine."

"Really? Are you not hurt anywhere?"

"Relax. Other then the fact that I hit my head badly, I'm fine."

"So you're not?! Oh, I'm so sorry, Levent-kun! I.. I just slipped and accidentally grabbed onto you by reflex! And-"

"Shh... It's okay. Just calm down and breathe. Relax."

"Okay.. Okay... I'll try... *inhale~ *exhale~"

The ever so stone-faced Horikita who always maintained a calm demeanor was now in complete shambles. She was probably more worried about my condition, then herself.

We were both drenched, more or less. As she was wearing those light gym uniforms, and because her clothes were sticking to her skin, I came to a sudden realization that her clothes had become more of a see-through. And on top of that...

...she's right on top of me!

"Uh... Can you get up from me? I can't really breathe well if you're going to sit on my stomach." I said while averting my gaze elsewhere.

"Hwa! I'm so sorry! I'll get up right away!"

Geez...

When she finally moved away from me, I slowly regained my strength and managed to sit up. My head was still in pain, and the 'beep' noise inside my head persisted. Even though we fell from a small cliff, the gravity increased my force by tenfold. And I hit my head on a rock. What should I expect?

"Here! I'll help you up." she pulled me.

"Thanks."

Horikita tuned her head down and stared at the ground.

"W-why did you-?"

"Levent-kun! Horikita-san! Are you alright?" Horikita was cut off by Kikyou's concern filled voice.

"We just saw you two falling in the river. Did any of you get hurt?" Kikuchi asked in concern.

Horikita nodded in negative, while I...

"Wow, that was definitely something, huh?" I replied.

"There's no need to worry. I just got clumsy and slipped and fell. Horikita-san tried to save me, but in the end, I dragged us both down."

"L-levent-kun?" Horikita muttered as she looked at me confusedly.

"Dude, you fell from there! And she even landed on top of you! Are you sure you didn't break any bones?" Ike asked.

"There was water below me to break the fall. So, it kind of felt like I fell on top of pillows."

"Did you really?" he eyed me suspiciously.

"Ah, yes. Except if you filled the pillows with rock, of course."

"Pfft..."

"Pfuhuhuhwahaha!"

Good thing that's it's working...

"Dude! You're crazy!" Ike exclaimed.

"Hah- How do you crack jokes with a straight face like that?" Okitani wheezed.

"Yeah! To think that even Levent-kun can make jokes and be this clumsy." Satou remarked.

"Satou-san, just what in the world do you think I am?" I deadpanned.

"Haha, I honestly think you're an alien! One second you act like a lifeless zombie, and all of a sudden you're like this? Which one is it?" she snickered.

"Maybe I'm both? Maybe I'm none? I wonder..."

"Ooo... So mysterious~!"

"Hahaha! Please be more like this, Levent-kun. You're more likeable this way. Also, try to put a smile and get rid of that monotone. At least try to be more enthusiastic." Karuizawa suggested.

That I can't do no matter how hard I try...

"You know... that's a direct attack to my character type. I feel more hurt by your words then the fall."

"Pfft-hahaha! Sorry, sorry! But I won't be taking it back though! I really mean it!"

"Wow..." I deadpanned.

"Horikita-san, can you help Levent go back to the camp?" Kikuchi ordered.

"Oh...Yes, I'll do that. Levent-kun, please come quickly."

"And make sure he gets enough rest. He seems jittery." He added.

Oh? This is interesting...

Kikuchi was a side character who didn't even appear in the story that much. Yet he was actually more mature than the majority of my classmates. While the other's were distracted by my façade, Kikuchi must've seen through my acting. Though it was all for a good cause, he still prioritized my well-being instead of letting me depressurize the situation.

This world really is interesting. I get to see so many different sides of so many different side characters. Maybe I won't be able to provide them the screentime that they truly deserve.

But I'll definitely take my time to get to know some of them better.

"Guess I'll be leaving now. You guys have fun." I waved at the other.

"Be careful. Hope we can have fun later."

Horikita silently dragged towards the slope of the riverbank where everyone had left their belongings at. There was a stone nearby where I decided to rest for a moment.

"Hah! My social battery is at it's limit. Recharge! I need to recharge, or I'm gonna die!" I whined... kind of?

"Wait. So, you were acting all this time?" she asked.

"I thought it was obvious though..."

"It's no exaggeration when I say this. But I can't get a read on you, no matter how hard I try." Horikita sighed.

I never thought I was that great of a bogus though...

"And by the way, why did you tell them that you were the one who slipped when I was clearly the one at fault?"

"Oh that! I suppose I wanted to save some of your delicacy?"

"Are you an idiot?"

"Isn't that obvious?"

"Hah~!"

Horikita sighed before sitting beside me. No one said a word for a good minute. As much as I prefer to enjoy the nature in silence, I couldn't due to how awkward the situation was.

"Say, that time...when you grabbed me. Why did you try to protect me?"

And there she goes...

"I wonder what you're talking about. I simply grabbed you because of reflex. I wasn't protecting you or anything."

"Even though I said that I can't get a read on you, there are things that are obvious. You tightly held me and brought me closer to you. Then you placed me above you so I can land safely on top of you. I would call it anything but reflexive."

"..."

She's sharp as a diamond. I'll give her that.

"So, why did you do it?"

"..."

I looked away from her.

It was the middle of the day. The air was completely still, little to no wind was flowing at time. The sounds of the cicada, the waves crashing onto the bank, leaves of the bushes rustling ever so slightly, the birds chirping from all around. I've never experienced a summer noon this beautiful and natural.

It's almost like my heart would melt just from this feeling alone...

Sigh...

"I'll answer your question with another question. If you ever see a small girl walking toward the edge of a dangerous mountain cliff or a small boy drowning in the river. What would you do?"

"That's... What's with this odd analogy?"

"Just answer it."

"Well, I'll definitely save them from harms path. Isn't it basic human instinct to save other's in trouble?"

"You're correct. And that, right there, is your answer."

....

....

"So, you're saying that you saved me because of your basic human instincts?"

"If that's the conclusion that you've reached, then yes. I saved you for my own satisfaction."

"I see." She went silent again.

The painfully peaceful silence fell all over the place again.

Good.

It was highly unlikely, but if she was expecting something else for an answer, then she must be utterly disappointed right now. I wonder if she likes the taste of her own medicine? As for what to do about the current situation, I'll just have to go according to how I envisioned it.

"By the way, did you bring that thing with you?" I inquired.

"Oh, right. Yes, I have it. Although I think it's drenched now."

"Can I see it?"

"Why do you want to see it now all of a sudden?" she asked.

"Just give it to me."

"Well, if that's what you want, then so be it."

She went for her pocket and pulled out a drenched and wrinkled piece of what was once a cardboard box. As she handed it to me, I slowly opened a par of the box to see if it was okay. Fortnitely, it was.

"I'll go put it somewhere safe. You finish taking a shower and come back to the camp."

"Huh? You're taking it?"

"Of course. Or by any chance do you plan to swim while holding onto this?"

"That... I guess that makes sense. It was also part of the agreement anyway."

"Glad that you understand."

I stood up and turned toward the camp.

"Wait, aren't you going to swim as well? You're just as drenched as me, if not more."

"I'm currently not in the state nor in the mood to swim. I'll do that after taking some rest."

Besides, I don't have time for 'childish' things like that. I have more 'important stuff' to do.

"I-I see. Be careful on the way back."

"I will."

•••••••

Day 3, 01:00 PM.

"Why are you drenched like that?"

As soon as I stepped inside the parameters of the camp, Ayanokouji asked without blinking.

"I fell." I replied.

"You fell? For whom... Horikita?" He asked.

"Ironically, I can't really deny that."

I did fall earlier because of her.

"I see."

"..."

"..."

Why do we both suck whenever we hold a conversation?

As I entered the cave, I didn't see anyone except for Ayanokouji. Much to my convenience.

"So, did you enjoy it?" he suddenly asked.

"Enjoy what?"

"The fall?"

"Do you think I'm a masochist?" I deadpaned while staring at him.

"Yes." He replied without skipping a beat.

"Ah, I forgot to remind you to go kill yourself."

"So you did enjoy it, didn't you?"

"I didn't. Besides, how did you even get that information anyway? It's not like you were there to see it happen, right?"

"To be honest, I kind of speculated that you'd try to save her like that. It seems I was right?"

That damn head of his!

"Well, I'll have you informed that I don't particularly enjoy getting my head bashing against the planet earth."

"Oh. It must've been 'hard', huh?"

This brat!

"Are you sure you're from the 'White Room'? And not some circus? You'd make a great clown, you know?"

"Hey, now. Comedy is an essential part of human life. Without comedy, a human life is a tragedy. Laughter is good for your health. The stimulation that you get from laughing causes you heart to pu-"

"I'll take your words seriously, only after you've become 'The Dr. Ayanokouji Kiyotaka', an infamous broke-ass quack who's notorious for cooking extremely effective aphrodisiacs and meth."

"Words cut deep, Levent."

I walked inside the cave. At first, I was looking out for Ibuki who didn't seem to be nearby. Seeing this as an opportunity, I headed toward the boys tent.

"Getting back to the tangent, what did you use to persuade him to do that?"

"Well, I-"

"And just for the record, it better not be Sakura's email address. She's already had bad experience from the strangers. You really don't want to push her limits for now."

"....."

"What did you use to negotiate?"

"Sakura's email address."

"Of course you did." I internally sighed. "Then I suppose you happen to have 'his' address?"

"Yes, I do. But what are you going to do with it?"

"Blacklist it from her email."

"And you think she'll just let you use her email? Is it that simple?"

"I'll just have to swindle with her. That's all."

"....."

"Why are you looking at me like I'm a master craftsman talking about his crafts and ambition?"

"It's not like that. I just have a question."

"Shoot."

"Is it possible to learn this power, sensei?"

.....

"Yes."

"There is a way? Do tell me."

After crouching and rummaging, I placed the thing that can barely be called a box inside my bag. Then I sharply turned around and looked dead in the eyes and said this...

"Simple. Just go talk to girls."

"Eh..."

I mean that's what you did in the original novel. Why are you not doing it now? What changes did I accidentally make that turned you into a lazy antisocial bum?

"There is no shortcut. If you don't even interact with girls, then on what multiverse do you expect them to fall for you? And even if there was one, it'd probably be in your delusions."

I honestly think that the creator is suffering from depression... Seeing his own creation interact with more girls than himself must be soul crushing for him.

E: Why you little! >:'(

"You really don't sugarcoat your words around me now, do you? I guess birds of a feather really do flock together."

"And what could you possibly mean by that?" I narrowed my eyes.

"Nothing... Really."

"We're going off the tangent again. For now, let's go check what the others are doing." I sighed.

"Sure. We'll go with that."

.....

"?"

"What's wrong, Levent?"

It was only for a millisecond, but on our way outside, I noticed a fragment of a shadow moving swiftly past the outer cave walls.

"Nothing. Just my delusion acting up."

•••••

Day 03, 01:54 PM.

"Hey! Levent-kun! Ayanokouji-kun!"

Onodera Kayano, the girl who was part of the swimming club yelled out to us. After Karuizawa's group and the other group were done with their turns, it was finally our turn to swim.

Behold the loner group... Starting with the boys, there were Ayanokouji, Sudou, Sotomura, Onizuka, Miyake, Yukimura and lastly me. And on the girl's side, we had Sakura, Hasabe, Matsushita, Onodera, Ichihashi. Horikita was supposed to join us now, but she had to swim early because of what happened.

"C'mon let's have a race again!" she said.

"Yeah, we want a rematch!" Sudou shouted.

"But why me though?" I asked.

"Huh? What do you mean why? Aren't you guys the fastest swimmers in the entire class?!"

"Eh? *gasp Oh, yeah... Right."

That's right. I almost forgot about that. Ayanokouji and I seriously competed against each other on our first swimming class. This ended up putting some spotlight on both of us.

"You happy now, Levent?" Ayanokouji, who was finally getting some attention again grumbled to himself.

To be honest, yes. I was more than happy.

"So, will you race against me? Or are you a chicken?" declared Onodera with a smug grin.

💢

"Alright, that's it.. I'll make you eat those words..." I shot back.

"Then what are you doing there? Jump right in!" she exclaimed.

I took off my gym uniform as I was already clad in my swimwear below.

"Hwa!"

"?"

For some reason I heard someone's flustered screech. I looked toward the source of the sound only to notice Sakura hiding her face behind her hands, flushed beet red. At the same time, Hasabe was swimming next to her, giving off an evil ear-to-ear grin for some reason.

Looks like they're getting along well. I suppose I'll try to form the study group as soon as possible.

As I walked deeper into the river, the temperature of the water decreased. A relaxing sensation crawled throughout my body.

"I'll take you both on! And I'll beat you with a record time!" Sudou shouted enthusiastically.

"How troublesome." sighed a certain individual.

"You know the rules [🎵 And so, do I~🎵]. No holding back." I added.

"I may have gotten rusty considering how long I haven't been training. So please go easy on me." he replied.

"Well, I don't know about rusty. But I'm sure you've gotten flabbier. Try to keep up old man."

💢

"You just made a blunder, Levent. You'll remember those words when you see me staring right back at you from the finish line." Ayanokouji shot back.

"We'll see who's crying after this."

All of us assumed our starting position. Seeing all this commotion, many of our classmates surrounded the riverbank. Four of the best swimmers of the class taking it out against each other, a spectacle was to be expected. Everyone began cheering by the name of the person they were supporting.

It's sure getting crowded here, huh?

"On your mark..."

I've hit my head not too long ago, and it's still aching a little. But I should be fine.

"Get set..."

I looked on my left, Ayanokouji was there. I looked on my right, Onodera and Sudou were there. I never thought I'd be swimming against them again but... maybe I'm quite lucky after all.

So, I braced and prepared myself.

It was time to go all out.

"GO!"

For real this time!

[E: Well, that was that! Yeah, not my proudest of work. But it is what it is. If you haven't already caught up to my plan, then don't worry. The next chapter would probably be the big revelation. With that chapter, the first year uninhabited island arc will reach it's conclusion. And with that, the season one of the anime, and the third volume of the light novel would be successfully covered.

Also, my semester finale is finally over! Now I only have to wait two more days for another semester. New semester, new pile of job sheets and a bucket load depression! Yay! Can't wait! 😆🎉✨

I have more time to write now... But I honestly lack the motivation to write. That's why...

Okay... *Inhaaale *Exhaaale... I can do this...

*Cough

So, what I'm trying to say is...

I may or may not be dropping this story. Sorry I lost interest. You guys suck. You don't even vote, nor do you comment. I'm not getting anything in return. So, yeah, this fic can go to heck for all I care.

.....

....

Is what what you expected me the write, huh? Hahaha! Get noobed!

No, for real now. I, E, love this series. This is my first ever fanfiction. Levent is the first ever OC that I've given a genuine development. I've even planned so many things for his back story. I'll never disappoint him.

Unless there comes a day when I'll be incapable of ever writing anymore...

By the way, I REALLY love reading your comments. They keep me motivated to write more words. I honestly write to see what my readers think about my work. Yeah, that's the whole truth. I'm an attention seeker lol.

I'm also publishing this on Web-Novel where I get comments every day. Don't really care about votes (or power stones in WN), but they're much appreciated.

Now that I'm done doing a shameless self-promotion, I'll stop dragging. I really hope you enjoyed reading my series. I'll keep trying to squeeze all of my motivation out in order to update this even if it's only a day earlier. Hope you lead a healthy and happy life. Guess I'll see you next week. Ciao 🤞;]
