Chapter 43: 43: Wounded and unsteady (2)

I paced up and down in the room. Scared of the consequences of what the angel did. Angel Semius attacked Ywain and almost killed him. 

The look on Zephirin's face as he took hold of Ywain's frail body was vivid in my mind. I could see anger in his eyes. He blamed me for what went down. 

The idea of Prince Zephirin holding a grudge against me left a sour taste in my mouth. It wasn't my fault, the attack was entirely on Angel Semius. I had no clue of his plans and wasn't strong enough to stop him. 

"I can't have him hate me, " thoughts crisscrossed my mind. 

I needed to find a way to talk to Prince Zephirin. To explain to him that I had nothing to do with Angel Semius's actions. To assure him that I wasn't his enemy. 

"I know it's wrong but I have to see him, " I grabbed the hems of my robe and dashed for the door. Without a hint of how I was going to reach Zephirin or get him to believe me.
