Chapter 34: Velarium

The moment John saw the familiar looking books, his hands closed in fists. The man was indeed serious about his work and those books only belonged to the family of a true vampire hunter, who were supposedly all dead as per John's knowledge.

"These are the books which have been inherited by me from my ancestors, and have been written by them too." Velar placed the book on the table, pointing towards a black and white picture of a dead body. "See this case of murder. Not an ounce of blood can be seen in this body and there is not a single scratch on him except for a bite mark on his neck." Velar pointed towards a tiny mark, hardly visible in the self drawn picture.

"But these are self drawn pictures Mr. Velar. What authenticity do they even hold?" John suddenly spoke up as if rebuking the picture.
