Neve couldn't quite put her finger on it, but there was something different about this. 

Something different about the act that she and Erin were about to perform separated it from past sexual encounters she'd had. Not that she'd had too many, but still, she could tell in the way her heart threatened to break free from her chest. 

Maybe it was the look Erin was giving her right now. One Neve had seen glimpses of here and there. A lust so obvious and intense that Erin may as well have been licking her lips, a glint in her eyes as she stared down at her meal. 

And yet, there was some hesitation. Erin began to lean down, to bring herself closer to Neve, but she stopped, as though drawing too close to the healer would cause her to disappear.
