Chapter 13: Ryu vs Julian Konzern
The beys launched into the arena with a fierce clatter, sparks flying as they clashed almost
immediately.
Ryu's bey, Hades Raiju, sped across the stadium with lightning speed, while
Julian's Gravity Destroyer spun in a unique counter-clockwise direction, creating a vortex
of power around it.
"What do you thing about destroyers left spin?''
Said Julian with smirk on his face.
Ryu hearing what Julian said, remembering his fight with Ryuga a while back, he couldn't help but chuckle.
"Pretty impressive...."
Julian, after hearing Ryu praise , smirked even more.
".....For a little trick that is"
Julian's smirk vanished and a grin appeared on Ryu's face.
Then Raiju, suddenly, as if it had a mind of its own, sped up. Destroyer with its left spin
tried to meet Raiju head on but with an incredible display of agility Raiju dodged and
continued to increase his velocity.
After completing three circles around the stadium in the blink of an eye Raiju had a blue
aura surrounding him and it was at this moment Ryu muttered his usual move
"Godspeed"
Amara watched with bated breath, her eyes wide with excitement. The arena buzzed with
the energy of Raiju's electricity
Julian smirked, his eyes fixed on the battle. "Gravity Destroyer, let's show them our true
power! Special move: Gravity Annihilation!"
The air around Gravity Destroyer shimmered as it unleashed its special move. The bey
glowed with a dark, intense energy. A powerful ancient warrior seemed to emerge from
within the bey. Ryu's eyes narrowed in concentration.
Both beys collided and smoke rose which made difficult to see the outcome. Couple of
seconds after both beys emerged unscathed but Julian was breathing rapidly while Ryu
was okay.
"Don't give him a break! Special move: Thunderous Howling!"
Hades Raiju's speed increased exponentially, leaving a trail of electric sparks in its wake. It collided with Gravity Destroyer head-on, the force of the impact creating a shockwave that
rippled through the stadium.
Both beys were engulfed in a brilliant explosion of light and
energy, the power of their special moves clashing in a spectacular display.
Amara shielded her eyes from the bright flash, her heart pounding with anticipation.
As the light faded, the arena was filled with a cloud of dust and debris. Slowly, the dust settled,
revealing the two beys still spinning, but wobbling precariously.
Amara gasped. "It's a draw!"
"It seems I still lack control of this move, Huh"
Julian chuckled, a hint of admiration in his voice.
"Looks like you're as strong as Amara said, Ryu."
Ryu nodded, a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
"You're not bad yourself, Julian. Gravity Destroyer's left spin is impressive not as impressive as my brothers though"
Julian extended a hand. "Is that so? We'll have to battle sometime then."
Ryu shook his hand firmly. "Definitely. I look forward to it."
As they turned to leave the arena, Amara rushed up to them, her excitement barely
contained.
"That was amazing! Both of you are incredible!"
Julian ruffled her hair affectionately.
"Thanks, sis. Ryu's a great blader."
Ryu smiled at Amara.
"Your brother's not too shabby either."
Amara beamed, clearly pleased to see the camaraderie between them.
"Maybe next time I can join in!"
Julian laughed. "We'll see about that."
The three of them walked away from the arena, the bond between them strengthened by
the fierce but respectful battle they had just witnessed
