Chapter 59: The Power of The Goro Goro no Mi
"…it seems like another person will be joining us soon" Enel stated as he sensed Kai's movement through the Upper Yard.
"Then I will finish you off before he arrives!" Kid declared while stepping in front of Enel. The latter looked significantly taller than the other three as he was almost 2,7 meters tall, the only one who is near his heigh is Kid who is 2 meters tall.
With a smirk Enel spoke "again…It seems like you don't understand what god is"
Kid looked at the self-proclaimed God with a glare. But before he could do anything, the enraged Gan Fall proceeded to take the initiative and attacked Enel.
Gan Fall was extremely angry upon learning about Enel's plan to destroy Skypiea. And as someone who holds the interest of Skypiea over everything else, he was ready to do anything including the sacrifice of his live to save the country.
"There are hundreds of families living in Skypiea, men, women and children…are you planning to kill them all?!....ENERU!!!!" Gan Fall shouted as he jumped off his flying horse and thrusted his lance at Enel, aiming to stab him.
With an arrogant grin, Enel simply titled his body to the side while pointing both his index fingers at Gan Fall "Ten Million…Twenty Million…"
"…Thirty Million Volts Vari!!!" Enel said, discharging 30 million volts of electricity from his body and shocking Gan Fall with it.
The amount of electricity was enough to burn off the old man's skin and render him unconscious on the spot. Even the armor that he was wearing wasn't enough to protect him from the attack.
Enel looked at him with his wicked grin while saying "In this world there is a god, and that's me!"
"Old man…" Both Kid and Wyper were taken aback by that display of power.
"Devil fruit, huh?...and he can control lightning from the looks of it" Kid concluded.
"Yahahaha!! I've been thinking about who I might take with me to the Fairy Vearth and you guys are strong and worthy enough for that…Once we are there, I will create a new God's land. Only those chosen by me may live there!!"
"Stop spouting nonsense you fool!" Kid attracted various metal pieces around his right arm and used Soru to close the distance between him and Enel.
SWOOSH!! BAAAAM!! After that, Kid made a giant makeshift arm of metal scraps and slammed it at Enel "Punk Gibson!!"
"?!!" Even with Mantra, Enel was very surprised at Kid's speed and couldn't dodge his attack as Kid's giant metal arm ended up hitting him, or so it seems.
"That was very sudden…I didn't think you would be this fast, you're pretty strong blue sea pirate" Thanks to Enel's logia power, the attack went through him without damaging him at all before his body restored its normal shape.
Kid was open mouthed after witnessing that "The attack went through his body?!!…" He muttered to himself before he tried to back away.
"Yahahaha!! Now is my turn…" With his lightning power, Enel's speed was almost unmatched, and he managed to approach Kid in a split second. While stretching his hand at his direction, he unleashed a powerful beam of electricity.
"El Thor!!!"
LIGHTNING!! BOOOM!! Kid was startled and couldn't dodge the attack and he was directly hit by it.
"AUUGHHH!!!" Kid was burned by the electricity as smoke was surging out from his body and his clothes became tattered because of it. But he was yet to be taken down by that.
"Huff…Huff…The way your devil fruit works, is similar to Kai…You're a Logia, aren't you?" Kid said while slowly getting up again. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fist as he understood that he can't beat nor even hit Enel with normal means.
'Damn! I wish I had a sea stone weapon with me in this moment' Kid thought while trying to think of a way to fight Enel. But his thoughts were interrupted by Wyper's battle cry "What is he trying to do?"
Wyper used his Shooter to propel himself forward before aiming his Bazooka at Enel. This time he equipped it with a Breath Dial, making it able to fire a large blast of white-blue flames caused by the ignition of the bazooka and the gas released from the Dial within.
"Burn Bazooka!!!" Wyper fire a large blast of white-blue flames at Enel. The blast was strong enough to destroy several buildings nearby, however, Enel simply hopped in the air and avoided it.
With his Mantra, or Observation Haki, he easily predicted Wyper's attack. However, since Kid can also use Observation Haki and his Soru is fast enough to surprise him, predicting him was a lot harder.
"Tsk…I invited you to come to Endless Vearth with me, yet you dare to attack me all of a sudden. It seems that I have to teach you a lesson…" Enel said before he took out his golden staff and charged at Wyper, thrusting the weapon at his chest while discharging electricity through it.
LIGHTNING!! Wyper's body was shocked as well while also receiving a powerful hit in the chest from Enel's staff.
"COUGH!!--" Wyper threw a mouthful of blood as he clutched his chest in pain, but he still didn't not collapse on the ground.
"You're pissing me off!!" Kid took that chance to attack Enel once more. This time, he tried to use all different kinds of attacks and from all directions, but none of them managed to hit Enel or even scratch him.
"No matter how hard you try, you can't win. I will use my overwhelming strength and teach you what hopelessness feels like" Enel declared before he discharged electricity from his body towards Kid "If you don't want to give up and kneel before me, then I will force you to!..."
"…100 Million Volts Vari!!!" This time Enel used an extremely strong Vari producing a massive, unruly blast of lightning that engulfed Kid.
KA-BOOOM!! The lightning blast generated a loud thunderclap as it struck down Kid.
"AUUGHHH!!!" Kid screamed in pain while getting shocked by the lightning, and after receiving it he looked in a very bad state.
His eyes rolled back, and he staggered to the side, slowly losing his conscious and his body started falling down. But before he could hit the ground, he clenched his fists, hardened his leg muscles and shouted his lungs out.
"Huff…Huff…I'm not…Huff…gonna go down from just that…"
Wyper's eyes widened in surprise while seeing that. That last attack that Enel used was more than three times stronger than the one he used against Gan Fall.
"He's still standing?!..." Even Enel was shocked from that. But as he was preparing to strike Kid down, Wyper suddenly appeared in front of him. He proceeded to jump on him, wrapped his legs around his hips and place his right hand on his chest.
"What are you doing, are you committing suicide?" Enel calmly said.
Wyper took a puff from his cigarette and blew some smoke from his mouth before he responded, "Do you know what sea stone is, Eneru?"
'Seastone, it has the properties of the sea and can be used to seal devil fruit powers' Kid thought in his head while watching from a distance "So that's how he's planning damage him"
Kid was barely able to stand after receiving that last attack and he could collapse any second.
Enel looked nervous after hearing Wyper.
"I added some to my Shooter, and it's draining your devil fruit powers" Wyper stated.
Enel fell on his butt after a few seconds of contact with sea stone "I see, my strength is being drained…" He looked at Wyper nervously "Y-You shouldn't…I know. It's 'Reject' right? Your body will pay a heavy price as well!..."
"…Don't you want to live and own land?!" Enel exclaimed as cold sweat was dripping from his forehead.
Wyper glared at him before he responded "Shut up!! I'm happy to die…if I can take you with me!!"
"D-Don't do it!!"
"REJECT!!!"
BOOOOM!!! Enel threw a mouthful of blood as his eyes rolled back and he collapsed to the ground.
"Can it be… did he beat him?" Kid questioned.
"Hah…Hah…Haha…Hahaha" Wyper laughed with a mocking grin as his entire body was covered in blood. He was barely able to stand because he drained all of his energy and took a lot of damage using the Reject Dial.
Enel's heart stopped beating and it seemed like he was dead for moment. Until lightning surged from his body all of a sudden.
BA-DUM… BA-DUM… BA-DUM… by applying repeated jolts of electricity, Enel restarted his heart.
"Mere men cannot make God feel fear. For true terror comes from God, and God alone" Enel said while getting up on his feet again. He wiped the blood from his mouth and grinned wickedly at Wyper and Kid.
"Now, it's time for your punishment!" Without wasting any time Enel tightened his grip on his golden staff before tapping on a drum on his back, causing a giant, eagle-shaped mass of electricity to appear from it and fly toward Wyper.
"Thirty Million Volts…Thunder Bird!!"
LIGHTNING!! BAAAM!!
"!!!" Wyper immediately collapsed after receiving that attack and Enel quickly turned towards Kid afterwards. With his staff aimed at Kid he charged at him, but the moment it was going to hit him a figure suddenly appeared in front of Kid and stopped him.
Clang!! A spear managed to stop Enel's lightning imbued, golden staff.
"?!!...It's you…" Enel clicked his tongued before he retracted his weapon, he felt Kai's presence nearby a few minutes ago but he completely forgot about him.
"Sorry for being late"
