Chapter 48: Can we just talk about this?
I won't even begin to discuss what happened tonight, but I will say one thing, chaotic!
I guess I can't be entirely upset though, this is just the unfortunate path I have chosen in this world (Though not a bad path entirely if you catch what I'm saying!)
Let me say this, I need to do something about it, I can't be the reason everyone is in a quarrel! I've already done that too many times in my past life! I'd better fix things up before the actual trip starts!

It was still pretty late, we wouldn't have to leave for another 5-6 hours.
I walked over to Silvia's room and knocked on the door, I knew she was still up, that stunt she pulled definitely had to be on her mind!
I proceeded to knock on the door, surprisingly she allowed me to come in.
"Hey, you alright?" I said as I walked into the dimly lit room.
Silvia was sitting at the side of her bed.
"I honestly should be asking you that, Sorry I ran away beforehand, no, sorry about everything earlier!"
I sit next to her, putting my arm around her shoulder "It's fine, you didn't know any better!"
"I-It's not just that..."
"Something else is on your mind isn't it?" I spoke for her.
She didn't say anything, just nodded at my guess.
Silvia paused and took a small breath, she then started over again.
"Y-you remember that OC I drew a while back?"
I thought back for a moment, "Oh yeah, that Tai fellow!" (I forgot the last name he had!)
"Well, that OC, I had a little inspiration," Silvia said while finger-tapping
'What does she mean by that?' I thought
"You see... Tai was actually based on you Takeo!"
I was a little surprised, "Me?"
"Yes! Someone who was Strong, who helped others, and was selfless... I mean sure I added a couple of inserts to him myself, but besides that, I made Tai a spitting image of you!"
"Ah, I see, heh, that's pr-"
"Wait, one more thing..."
I paused so she could speak. Silvia pressed herself up against my chest while looking up at my face.
"I need to tell you something else, something I've been meaning to say for a long time... I-I... I-I..."
I held her close.
"Take your time, I'll be right here!"
Eyes closed, Silvia swallowed and quietly shouted her confession.
"I like you Takeo, and I mean more than just a friend!!!"
I paused for a second, I may have been looking perfectly calm on the outside, but I felt full of dread on the inside!
I feared something like this would happen. Honestly, with the blunt confession, I ended up choking and replied with something rather lame.
"Y-you do?"
I mean it was evident from how she acted that one night, to what she literally just did an hour ago. I was at a bit of a loss for words here, I don't really know the next move!
"Yes! And I'm not just saying this because you're the first guy who saved my life in the caves, you showed interest in my desires, and you gave me a place to stay. How could I not obtain feelings for you after all this time?" Silvia continued
Soon after that speech, Silvia's shoulders dropped a little in realization.
"Though I'm also well aware that you and Teles are probably in a relationship, it's one of the reasons I never said anything sooner!"
"Oh, I get it now..." I replied
"I'm mostly
I can tell she had this on her mind for a little while, now she's just waiting for my response.
Look I like her a lot too, who couldn't love that adorable arachnid, but I can't do that to Teles. I know the laws in this world are different than the ones back where I used to live.
I know I could technically be with both Teles and Silvia, but part of me doesn't know the right answer!
I would at least like to consent with Teles first before I pull any more moves here, I don't want to cause any more unnecessary drama than I'd have to!
"Look Silvia," I started "I like you a lot too, but we can't be together at the moment!"
She moved back a little, a bit dejected.
"I'm already in a relationship with Teles. It wouldn't be smart to make any drastic decisions on my own, it isn't right to her!"
"O-oh, right, I understand..."
"BUT!"
She looked back up to me.
"There isn't anything saying we all can't be together, I may be okay with it, but you should talk to Teles first to see if she's also fine with this!"
"Ah, I see..." I noticed her eyes widen a bit.
"First, however, you should probably apologize to her, and wait for that proposal after our trip is finished," I recommended
"Yes, yes, of course!" looks like she's getting energy again!
Silvia got close to my face again, but this time hesitated and instead pecked me on the cheek.
"Is that okay?"
"Not feeling any poison, yep, all good!"
"I really hope I can make ends meet!"
"You're smart, you'll think of something! Just remember, I can't really add anything to this okay?"
"Got it!"

I bid Silvia goodnight and exited the room.
'What have I gotten myself into!?!?' I thought as I made my way towards the kitchen. Love is complicated, I didn't intend to bring so many people into my life like this! I just wanted to help!
I'm not saying I don't love them or anything, I've just seen way too many situations like this in entertainment.
To me, it looks like the MC will always be suffering in some way because he's too dull to understand the position he's in with so many girls.
Me, however, I'm more than clear about what's going on. When I get the chance, I need to find the right time to fix it! For now, I just need to get some rest, It's been a long night!
I took an apple from the fridge and ate it. I noticed Rei had fallen back asleep on the hammock I placed for her.
I grabbed a big bowl and filled it with warm water, I then set it down and placed her hand into the bowl without waking her up.

I flop back into the bed and try to get as much sleep as possible before morning hits. I just hope this whole trip can finally give me some true answers to this dangerous world.
I slowly drift off to sleep while I think about these things.
